Very nice rustic bar / restaurant near the waterfront. You can watch the game at the bar or eat in the dining room. The food was... good and the service was attentive and polite. Definitely recommend this locals location. Read more

I can’t believe I didn’t review this place yet! Sitting in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, USPH is an upscale public house... (pub) with amazing drinks and great food. They serve brunch on weekends and I thought I’d check it out. I was notdisappointed! I got the biscuits and gravy which is five mini biscuits with sausage gravy and a side of home fries. I alsoordered a side of eggs & cheese. I didn’t expect the serving would be as massive as it was but I was thoroughly impressed withthe quantity of food as well as the quality. I usually don’t like my eggs seasoned but these eggs were seasoned to the tee!The savory sausage gravy was complimented by fluffy biscuits with a slight closed lip kiss of sweetness. I can’t wait to eatmy leftovers! Read more

I had the Fish and chips but changed them to mashed potatoes. The fish was cod and it was so good. The restaurant was really big... and had a bar side and a dining room side. If you dont want everyone hearing your conversation sit on the bar side becausepeople talk and there is light music, the dining room was pretty quiet. Read more

Place is good for drinks and fried food. Oysters were ok. Had way much better oysters. Ordered Gumbo, it was weird. There no... taste also at the same time very weird taste. If you want to go have some drinks and some fried food, this is a good place. Butnot for lunch/dinner. Read more

I absolutely love it here. I think it’s a great spot for Sunday brunch, with a friend, a date or for a family brunch. The menu... has a ton of options so everyone will find something. I love sitting out on the sidewalk at the high top tables. It’s shadedyet sunny. The mimosa flight is a great option for someone who casually wants to drink, a good price point too. The pimentocheese biscuits are a MUST. I’m usually team savory at brunch but the recently added strawberry ricotta pancakes were SOGOOD. I can’t wait to return. Read more

I wish I could give this place an negative zero. So today my good friend and I biked the Mount Vernon trail and it was amazing.... Beautiful weather and just amazing, until we decided to end our evening with Union place. I ordered the Chicken Salad BLT andWings and my ordered the grilled vegetables sandwich. Good fast service but upon arrival the Chicken Salad had a veryrecognizable soured mayonnaise taste. My friend doesn’t eat meat so she couldn’t confirm so she told me to try eating thewings to cleanse my palette. I asked for my wings to be double cooked and I literally got a raw bird without it’s feathers.Went back to chicken salad but I couldn’t because I started dry heaving. My friend still hasn’t gotten her food and I sawthe guy who seated me outside and I told him about the food. I than asked for just an BLT and they literally grabbed new breadand brought out the three strips of bacon from the Chicken Salad. To top that it had an whole sliced red onion on it. My friendsfood arrived after my food was left and her sandwich is missing the mozzarella that’s part of the grilled veggies sandwich.Terrible is an understatement. I actually feel nauseous from the two bites of chicken salad I had eaten. Basically I paid 60bucks for the nastiness food ever. I’m thankful to have dodged a bullet by not eating the spoiled chicken salad. Read more

Some street parking and a few garages around here. It was mostly empty when we came and the food was delicious. We were a little... disappointed as there are some items on the menu that the server explained that they were taking off the menu [OysterRockefeller & Brick Chicken]. It would have been helpful knowing this ahead of time before we attempted to order. The servicewas alright, it was a little slow for how quiet the restaurant was. We often had to ask to get a refill on our waters. I ordereda glass of sangria which was good but pretty Cinnamon heavy and also a lot of ice. For our appetizers, we ordered the FriedOysters and our friends ordered the Pretzels & Dips. The Fried Oysters were delicious and I absolutely recommend. The oysterswere all different sizes though, some being quite small. We didn't try the Pretzels but our friends indicated that they weredecent except the Pimento Cheese was hard to dip/spread since it was more like shredded cheese. For dinner, I ordered theShrimp Po'boy and my boyfriend ordered the Parmesan Crusted trout. The Shrimp Po'boy was good, little difficult to eat since thebread was pretty thick and there were thick slices of tomato on there. Fries were great and well seasoned. The trout was alsodelicious and very well cooked and seasoned. We ordered a cheesecake for dessert which was pretty standard. There was someStrawberries on top. A little pricey but we would probably come back and sit at the bar to try more of the food. Read more

The food here is extravagant!!! It’s been so long since I’ve had gumbo and when I tell you I was ecstatic to finally have... some I mean it!! The chef comes from Louisiana and makes it RIGHT!! We also got their Parmesan crusted trout. A win win as well:) Great portion sizes, beautiful space, and a wonderful team as well. Read more
