New in the neighborhood, and we’ve always noticed Vaso’s Kitchen and wondered what the food tasted like. So on Monday, we... ordered via Ubereats from Vaso's Kitchen (Old Town Alexandria), which was one of the best food decisions ever. Am definitely nota pizza person, but their original homemade Greek-style pizza sold me! It was fresh, juicy, and absolutely delicious. Everythingelse we ordered, from the hummus and pita bread to the Spanakotiropita (Spinach and Feta Cheese Baked in filo dough), was aperfect hit, and we were sold cause this has to become our new go-to place. When my friend & I first entered Vaso’s, it smelled divine and we were excited to eat. Unfortunately, when we sat down we... could hear what I’m assuming is the owner or manager yelling at his kitchen staff to “shut up” continuously with otherarguments sprinkled in. It also took over an hour to get the greek sampler which was a mix of veggies, feta, & hummus & thenanother hour to get our entrees. I wish I had listened to our server when she mentioned a specific menu item was salty - Ihadn’t imagined it would be so salty that it would be inedible. Same with the meat sauce that came with my entree’s side ofspaghetti that was dropped off at the table 20 minutes after we had received everything else. In total, it took about 2 1/2 - 3hours to get out of there. Can’t say I recommend this place. Our server was great though! Read more

Very disappointed in this restaurant. First they reported we did not show to OpenTable. The food was ok. I had the Veal Piccata... and my wife had the Filet of Flounder. Both basic piccata dishes. The real disappointment was the side, basically canned peas intomato sauce. The restaurant is a bit run down and off the charts loud. Read more

Great place, cozy but with an upscale vibe. Great food but not to many options when it comes to your cleaner Mediterranean foods... as everything is with flour and sautéed. BUT the amount of flour is very minimum and not like a hard shell, at least not on myfish. Read more

The food is tasty, and the service is also good. However, USD 38 each for the scallop pasta - only featured two medium size... scallops and champignons (not even porcinis), and the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat which as you can see were tiny, wasexorbitant! Yes I understand inflation blah blah blah but this isn't even a fancy place. It's super casual. I definitely won'tbe back just cos of the ridiculous pricing vs what you get for their mains. Me and hubby stopped here for lunch will we were in Alexandria for the day. We got the appetizer sampler platter to start and... two classic Greek platters, one chicken and one lamb. The food was good though the meats where a lil on the dry is side. Theonly thing that turned us off from the place was when we were leaving. Hubby went to the bathroom which was upstairs and on hisway back he said he saw roaches. Which it not what you want to see after you just ate at a place. Read more

This place is fantastic. I went with my colleagues and we tried many of the appetizers prior to our main dishes. Everything was... truly outstanding. Including the wine! Read more

We had a great time! We had passed by while strolling Old Town and knew that we wanted to come here to celebrate something nice.... I celebrated my graduation and was not disappointed. Penny was a delight and gave us a great history of the place, her family, and insight into family recipes. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon. The house wines, moussaka, and bread wereparticularly great. Read more
