Decent German restaurant but they need to focus on both service and quality of food. Service was subpar at best, we sat at the... bar tables and they took our beer/cocktail orders but had to ask for waters twice. The food took forever to get out and wasdisappointed as it was pretty bland. Read more

I really love this place. Great atmosphere, great beer, amazing food. I absolutely love their bier brats and sauerkraut, which... comes with sweet and spicy mustards (definitely prefer the spicy). Food service is a little on the slow side but I don’t mindspending time there since beers come fast. Definitely recommend. Read more

Great folks, great food, very clean! The bartender was even crafty enough to make a lovely drink around allergies and the other... staff made us feel at home. I had the Brauhaus Wurst Platter (pictured), and was upset that I couldn't find a way to eat all ofit! Read more

I really enjoy this place. Having moved to the area from some time in Germany, I missed the delicious German draft beer. Bottles... are OK, but they just don't hit the spot like a draft. This place has multiple German beers on tap, including one of myfavorites. They also sell growlers or will fill your own. While I have only eaten a couple things here, it is quite tasty aswell. I'd call it a more German themed menu - it generally is much more flavorful than "real" bland German food, in myopinion. Definitely give this place a try! I live in Baltimore now, but still make the hour or so drive monthly to get meGerman beer fix. Read more

If the weather permits, I recommend sitting outside. We just wanted a snack and drink before going back to DC before the... rainstorm arrived! The staff seated us right on the sidewalk, but I felt our picnic table gave us enough space between thepedestrians and the cars passing by. I ordered a bubbly rose and a Bavarian pretzel while my husband ordered a Weissewurst withred potato salad. He said it really hit the spot! The staff were friendly and allowed us to relax and just enjoy our time. Iwould definitely return to Village Brauhaus again. There are several eateries nearby, but this place was relaxed and a perfectafternoon snack! Nothing fancy here, but that's the charm too, We just wanted to rest our legs and not feel pressured. This restaurant got the stamp of approval from my German husband. We shared the potato pancakes as an appetizer and both got the... wiener schnitzel. There was only one waitress working the entire room (how very German!) and she did a fantastic job. I wasshocked to see Bananaweizen on the menu as this is truly something I’ve never seen offered in the US before. I was also ableto get a non alcoholic Radler (they also had a non alcoholic Hefeweizen). The restaurant offers beer yoga classes which piquedmy interest….may have to go back to check that out one day! Read more

A co-worker suggested this place and I re-visited a few days later during a business trip. I usually only order Wiener... Schnitzel at a German restaurant, so I did here as well. Served only with garlic parmesean french fries as a side. TheSchnitzel was decent size and is genuine veal (not pork). I found the breading pretty "mealy" and not to my taste, butrefreshing to have a hot schnitzel. Bar area and dining room were decent size and average service. Staff wear somewhattraditional clothes for Bavaria. German beer on tap with plenty of sizes and I think I noticed Bier in a glass boot aswell. I'm used to choices of sides (especially on business travel with attempts at somewhat healthy portions) and would havepreferred to have to option to include a salad, vegetables, cucumber salad, etc. instead of only french fries (although tasty!). I feel like the price was on the expensive side, although it is veal which is not so common. There is a create your ownplatter for Wurst. I think this is a great idea and will consider this next time I visit. Still a bit pricey, but willing totry it out. Prost! Read more
