Best meal I have had in Alexandria in a LONG time! The atmosphere is so cozy and its cool too see the kitchen in working action.... The service was top notch and very friendly vibes from everyone who served us our food and drinks. I wanted to try everything onthe menu. Wow! What an amazing spot Nicole and her team have built. The food, the wine list, the atmosphere, and the mission are exactly... what we needed in south Old Town. While there are numerous dining options, there are none like Virginia’s Darling.\n\nWe satat the chef’s counter and absolutely LOVED the experience. The food was incredible and we loved every single dish. The winepairings were perfect while also being funky and unexpected. The staff were attentive and excited to share about the food andwines. What a phenomenal spot! Just took my parents here for dinner and we were blown away. The wine selection was spectacular. The... menu was clear, concise, and offered a great amount of variety for the number of items. Our server, Jessica, was attentive,friendly, and knowledgeable. Literally every single dish was great, but the standout menu item was the salmon. It was eithersmoked or cured with beets (I can’t remember exactly), but we had to get 2 more orders of it after we demolished the firstone.\n\nAlso, great vibe. They just opened and I came on I think the 3rd night. The food was beautiful, and the kitchen is open right behind the bar! We... picked through some snacks with a few glasses of wine and then got a bottle with entrees. A really relaxing night in abeautiful space. Read more
