To start off i would like to say the food is AMAZING. But a 5 star restaurant they are not. And most of this is based on... cleanliness and atmosphere. Unless you count they only had half of the drink menu available. They have Parmesan cheese holderson every table, As most Italian restaurants do for bread and Olive oil. Before we were seated the table across from us hadlittle kids, Now kids will be kids and they put their fingers in the cheese and ate the cheese off the spoon that was in theplastic bowl. Not a big deal, what is a big deal is that when the cleaned the table after the gusts left they left the cheesecontainer there for the next guest to use. Having been in the restaurant business I addressed it with our waitress, she didchange it out but her excuse for the ownership was it would cost more to have more containers for spares...I'm sorry but thatsjust cleanliness. Not to mention the garbage that was left on the floor for the next guest to step over. To whoever the owneris, you have a great thing going for you with the food, some of the best Italian in Lake and McHenry County. Please get ittogether with the staff and basic table hygiene. Oh, and if you could clean the vents, hide the vacuum, and move the fire alarmso you don't have to have tape over it (I'm assuming that is a nuisance alarm) that would be a plus!! Safety first. EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE!! HUGE PORTIONS. The drinks were pretty good. Nice variety to the wine menu.
Took the family they had a table but they do take reservations. The staff was very friendly. I ordered lasagna very tasty and... a large portion of it. Definitely will go back. Read more
