Found this place in 2009 on a motorcycle run. Really great smoked texas style BBQ. Unbelievable good corn muffins. Recommend... the 3 meat dinner....loved the sausage... ribs were fall off the bone. Read more
I came here once 20 years ago and had the pork sandwich and the brisket? ooooweeee and I have been a loyal customer since then,... never had better bbq anywhere else outside of Texas so yes I highly recommend this place. It gets super busy and they deal witha lot of inpatient people so please don?t let that discourage you. Read more
So far we've only tried the pulled pork and brisket sandwich meals, but both are phenomenal. Great portion sizes and reasonable... pricing. The dining area is cozy and nice for lunch- and for takeout they're within walking distance to the park too! 10/10 willeat here again! Read more
I have eaten at this restaurant once before and was pleased with both the food and the service. My last experience, however,... changed my opinion. Ordered a pickup order on Father's Day and we're told to pick it up in roughly 55 minutes. When we got therewe were told that someone had left earlier in the day in the middle of their shift and that they were backed up. We then waitedan additional hour for our food. During this time we were consistently told 5 or 10 minutes and it will be up. I evenspecifically asked one time of the items were ready and being assembled which was untrue and we waited another 15 - 20 minutes. This was problematic in general but worse when you consider that we had guests who had driven over an hour to be with family onthis day and my father is 87 and let's face it every event counts. There was no attempt to make any restitution for the weight,inconvenience or otherwise. The management / ownership MIA and never engaged us. Instead they passed messages using the youngstaff that they had who are ill equipped to manage the backlog. While the food was good I will never order from this restaurantagain nor will I provide them my patronage. It's not about the things went wrong it's about that there was absolutely no effortto make them right and that's just bad business. Read more
Oh my goodness! I can't say enough about this place.. we've been coming here for years.. never stops surprising me how good the... food is.. older western atmosphere.. you MUST eat here at least once.. their bbq pork is juicy..tender.. oh my..its just great!Pick 3 plate.. smoked bbq beef ribs, pork spare ribs, and smoked sausage is what hubby had.. ribs are tender..fall off the bone!Excellent baked plans. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!! Disgusted. This place is absolute garbage. I spent over $100 on an order for missing meals and... fatty/dry meat. Joann the receptionist was EXTREMELY RUDE. She said ?well what do you want me to do?? I said I would likesomeone to bring the pulled pork sandwich meal you forgot, I am missing an entire meal. She laughed at me and said ?why don?tyou just have DoorDash do it.? I told her I just paid $20 tip to the deliver. And it?s your fault the order was wrong. She andthe manager both put blame on the restaurant being busy as to why the food was bad and the order was messed up. I told themanager the part of my order is missing, food was all fatty/dry hardly any meat on the bones. The manager proceeded to blamedoor dash as to why they can?t refund me, saying I pay DoorDash and DoorDash pays them?This restaurant didn?t care about poorservice, rude staff/management and food was missing. No you cannot live here but you'll want to. The food is so flavorful and you can tell that they know barbeque. Prices are quite... reasonable and taking the family for a dinner night is just a bit more than Mc D. Atmosphere is wonderful with all the wood andsmoky aroma from the meats and hanging decorations. Not the most extravagant in decorations but plenty to entertain the eyes. Read more
