Had Kai?s White Ramen for lunch. Noodle, soup and pork belly are all decent. The egg is pretty good.

This is my absolute favorite place for Ramen! I always order the spicy chicken Ramen, with extra noodles.. you will not be... disappointed! Service is always great- pick up and delivery. Not the greatest photo I uploaded ???? 10x better in person. Read more

Food was alright but the portion for the price is on the smaller size. Order the Kai White Ramen and the Combo. The ramen was... alright, not bad not good. The combo's appetizer costed an extra $5 and the amount given for this amount is paltry at best. Fourgyozas for $5 is a bit reaching Read more

I eat ramen a LOT. I always compare it to my time as a youth in Japan when I traveled frequently with my father. Ramen was a... staple for us, standing at the counters in little shacks throughout Tokyo, enjoying the quick and easy meals. Times havechanged though. Everything seems to be gourmet now. If the pork isn't melt in your mouth tender or the soft boiled egg isn'tperfectly timed, people complain. Kai Ramen is absolutely delicious. I ordered a yellow ramen, which was a pork broth, midsized yellow noodles (the CORRECT version of Ramen...not the angel hair BS that you plebs have gotten accustomed to) pork, egg, and for the first time...cheese. yes, I've never had cheese in my ramen, but I'll try it. What I ended up with was arich, decadent experience the likes of which I've never had with ramen. The soup was already hearty but now the creamy textureof the soft boiled egg and cheese just made it come alive. I ordered a pork bowl to sample their rice dish. It was too sweet,in my opinion. Daikokuya has a much better example of what an authentic pork bowl should taste like, but I did appreciate Kai'sspin on things. It was still tender and delicious...just too sweet. The gyoza doesn't have a crisp bottom, and it was verygeneric. The highlight side order was the spicy garlic chicken. This is Korean style fried chicken at a ramen shop. This isexactly like the Korean style fried chicken in Honolulu (Itchy Butt made famous and reviewed by Mark Weins of Migrationology). It was hot, fresh, crunchy, and went great with the creamy broth of my ramen. That's an A+ side you can't get at any otherramen shop. While not perfect , Kai is now officially my go to ramen spot in SGV. There are more "foodie" and "boutique" ramenshops that will claim more authentic experiences , but this combination of deliciousness is 100% worth a try. Read more

I got the miso based yellow broth noodle. the soup itself was flavorful, the egg was a bit over cook, could be a minute less to... get the yoke to be a bit more runny. the pork was nice and tender but a bit on a dry side. overall, I think it was a good bowlbut with a few minor adjustment that could be done here and there. Outstanding take of an established cuisine. The spicy beef ramen is smokier than a brisket, and that's a good thing. The noodles... are aldente...soup is true to form- you can taste the ingredients like the veggies, spices and meat and not salty. Try it foryourself and enjoy. Read more

I like that they offer Ramen with your choice of pork chicken or beef broth. I had the Red Dragon which is supposed to be... medium level of heat, it was more hot than medium. I couldn't finish it because of the heat. If a little less heat it wouldhave been perfect for me. They also give you a water pitcher to dispense your own water. Really nice touch. Read more
