Wonderful waitress, FRESH CRAB in the crab stuffed mushrooms and very little stuffi g, delicious veggie quesadilla.. . Nachos... wew ok and that's the small one. . . .outside dining was perfect!! Read more
Been coming here for a while on and off. Try to support all the local favorites. Food and service is always amazing. Staff is... friendly but lunches are hit or miss. While on the clock you want fast service, sometimes it's not the case. I do understandstaffing issues so it's not a deal breaker. The kitchen can become backed up. Co workers and I end up going across thestreet. I have never had a bad dish here yet. Everything is cooked well, great flavor and very delicious. We stumbled upon this really intriguing bar/restaurant while visiting family. It was late and most places were closed. I saw... this corner bar but it was packed! However, turning the corner was a sign "The Other Side" which was fairly empty. Our serverVanessa was fun, efficient and helpful. NOW, the FOOD was NOT what I expected from a bar/restaurant, it was so delicious!Vanessa introduced us to our Chef, Rico who was delightful! This is an operation that commands respect. Here's what I've noted: 1) Though depending upon the time of one's visit and the... heft of the crowd and considering the staffing problems that currently plague this industry, I have observed that thisrestaurant utilizes a team approach, that the server and support staff coordinate, at least in my experience pretty seamlessly. 2) I have yet to encounter through about a half dozen visits, even one negatively charged employee. This never happens byaccident. 3) The culture of this place, the interactions of staff members and customers, the vibe - relaxed and professional. You want friendly kibitzing, they sense it. You want straightforward time constrained service, they'll do their best to deliverthat. They appear to be keyed in to the customer. 4). The food is abundant and tasty. Very good, some things great, like thepierogies. The full menu may not rise to a 5 star valuation; however the people at Ringers Roost clearly care about yourexperience, and have a desire to make the entire dining experience thoroughly enjoyable. It appears to me that heowners/managers/staff have made a commitment to continuous improvement and are vigilant that the customer owns their attentionand respect. 5) The ambience is utilitarian and convivial, the latter largely an outgrowth of staff selection, retention andtraining. 6). I should have done a better job of collecting names so that I might do justice to this review. I do rememberVanessa, who I believe works on Fridays. She's a fine example of what this review describes. 7) As an aside, at one visitmaybe 5 months ago, we're a table of 5 family members, we had a server who might just be a candidate for professional stand-upcomedy. I mean she had fire, a great delivery without missing a beat on everything practical that a fine server must perform inthat position. Strongest recommendation. Read more
