Had tonkatsu and goma miso ramen. Tonkatsu was aight, it came out super fast which means it was just heated instead of being... freshly fried. Side salad that came on the side was surprisingly simple and delicious. Goma miso has sesame in it, making theflavor of the ramen more rich by adding nuttier flavor. Read more

New location for santouka, but the quality is still there. Got the usual toroniku ramen, and it's still good. Interestingly,... the broth (shoyu) at this location has less fish base than both the Back Bay and Harvard Square locations, which I happen toprefer. Highly recommended for solid ramen in Allston/brookline area. Read more

It?s a newly opened restaurant in Allston and I?m happy that we have two Hakkaido ramen in Boston. The wait was not too long, we... didn?t make reservation and only waited about 5-10 mins. The menu was pretty standard like it?s other locations. However, I waspretty disappointed that they don?t serve alcoholic beverages. It?s hard to have a ramen without a beer. Read more

Im so soo excited they finally opened one near Brighton. Their food is really good and so is their service. Very welcoming and... warm staff. I am a vegetarian so there is only one option in main course and edamame for apps but the ramen is really reallygood. Def worth a try. Read more

The food came out very quickly. However, I asked for corn on the side for a ramen that came with corn. He wrote a note to take... it out of the ramen and then charged me for a side of corn. The $15 ramen became $19. The ramen was supposed to be 30% off fortheir grand opening, they only apply it when you remind them, after you get the check. They never gave us a check or showed usthe bill and just took our card while clearing the tables. However, I almost don't want to say the service was horrible becausethey really were very nice. The miso ramen isnt bad. The pork slices just were 40% fat... good depending on what you like? Thebrother and cook of noodles are pretty consistent with the other locations. Flavorful and al dente. Takoyaki was very soft anddelicious. The karage was excellent, crispy and juicy. Just be mindful to check your check! Read more

Superb ramen and really friendly and prompt service - I ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen and loved it. The restaurant was really... busy and seating is a bit limited for parties over two people, so definitely recommend doing a reservation ahead oftime. Looking forward to coming again! Read more

I ordered takoyaki for my appetizer, plus small miso ramen with the sides of ajitama (soft-boiled egg) and butter... corn. Takoyaki tasted freshly made but it wasn't piping hot, which I think is a plus; I don't wanna burn myself. The outsidetexture had a nice crisp to it and the sauce/toppings are typical but nicely complement it (didnt feel overdone). The inside, however, felt extra wet (not doughy), and I think that's because you get two tiny legs in comparison to the size of the takoyaki(see picture). All of them were like that btw. On a side note and personal preference, opening up the takoyaki and leaving it tocool for 3-5 minutes helped to bring out the flavors more and crisp up the outer texture even more. The ramen was slightlyover-seasoned for me. From the first sip of the broth without anything added, it tasted oily rather than ?? from the fat. Thenoodles were thin noodles that tasted well cooked, but had a texture of undeoilrdone than overdone noodles (not in a bad waythough?) ???? would be how I describe it. The bamboo shoot was a little too sour for my liking. Everything else was good andtypical-- the green onion was fresh enough that it complemented the dish when you eat it, and the wood ear mushroom was.. there?I tasted it. The ajitama comes out cool (not cold), just fyi. The others aspects of this place that I like is that you get sizeoptions: small, regular, and large. The small is good if you have a small appetite or would like to eat something else too. Ialso liked the service a lot! My server was kind in letting me know what's going on when I had to wait.
