The price is ridiculously expensive. 13 dollar for just a few slices of beef. 6 dollar for only 4 small quail egg. The owner... requires a 10% tips in a self-service restaurant. The flavor is alright. Not recommended. Read more

I never write reviews because typically I don’t have a bad enough experience or honestly care that much, but this place needs... an attitude adjustment. First the owner is super over the top about everything. Dude, I’ve been to hot pot before I know howit works. I’ve had poor experiences with the owner not once but twice! The first time he refused to give me food my boyfriendordered because clearly I’m not “Dave” and my name was different than what was on the order. Which I understand this butwhat I don’t understand is I gave him the name and the phone number related to the order. I had to call my significant othermultiple times with no luck until the owner realized I had supplied enough information. This 15 minute exchange is over the top.Maybe trust that I’m not stealing food when I’ve provided all the information regarding the individual I’m picking up thefood for. Due to this, I have not ordered from this place for MONTHS because of what I find over the top behavior. Tonight, Itried to walk in and get a bowl ordered. The owner was overbearing as usual and personally I have very limited patience for himbecause he is ALWAYS rude. So I grab a bowl and start filling my bowl. I’ve put my bowl on the counter to check out andsuddenly his system isn’t working? Or I don’t have enough food in my bowl? Who knows - he doesn’t speak clearly and askedif I could hear him. Which I replied to him as “yes, I hear you - but I’m not sure what you are trying to tell me.” Heprocessed to tell me the same information again which clearly is not helpful because to put it simply he sucks with customers.Dude hire someone to run the front of the house. You are rude and you literally have business walking out the door. Wordtravels fast my friend. Read more

Came here for the first time tonight. Walked in to be greater by the owner and his employees. Owner showed me how to start and... told me the limit I should have for it to be a healthy amount. Grabbed a bowl and some tongs to start my decision on what Iwanted from the assortment of vegetables, fish balls, crab and king crab cuts. Next I grab a bit of ramen and placed the bowldown to be weighed in and then was asked what type of meat and spice level I wanted(medium just to try). Was told would beabout 15 to 20 minutes but ended up waiting about 5 to 7 minutes instead which was fine by me. Let me tell you about thisbroth. Absolutely delicious. The taste is perfect and made me want a bowl just to enjoy broth by itself. The chicken is pulledand slurping it up with the broth helps it taste so much better. I highly suggest putting a little bit of spice to enjoy thebroth even more. I chose bok choy, soft tofu, spinach, bean sprouts, lotus, potato, and noodles. Definitely will return to tryall the vegetables, meat and spice varieties. Read more

You pick up a bowl and add whatever you want for your soup and then at the register tell them the protein you want and the spice... level. There was a bit of a wait because it was busy but so worth it. The taste was amazing and I'm definitely going back! Read more

Absolutely delicious. You can choose the veggies you want to put in your soup, then weigh it. Then at the register you choose... the meat/soup base you want. I'll definitely come back. So fresh and healthy! Read more

Love love this restaurant. So authentic and delicious that we eat here about once a week. The soup is so so good. You grab a... bowl, add in what you want and they cook it for you either as a soup or dry. You can also customize spice level. And it’s soreasonably priced. Plus the owner Arik is just the sweetest. tldr: Amazing authentic flavor (better than your typical ma la tang place in China) and suuuuper nice owner/workers! ????If... you've never had it before, it's a unique pre-made individual/small sharing hotpot where you select what exactly goes into it.Super popular in China and Korea. I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised to find a real malatang offering in MA that isactually REALLY really good. Of course it's more expensive than in Asia but the broth was probably the best I've had of all the??? places I've been to. Owner is super nice and gave us some freebies. Also owner is trilingual (English, Korean, MandarinChinese) which is super impressive. Added onto my must have list for Asian food in Boston (not a very long list... get your acttogether MA).
