Great views on the water, absolutely terrible service. Sat down with a table of 4 on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy but as... others have noted here, the servers are ridiculously slow. My table sat down, spent 10 minutes to get someone to come over fordrinks orders, then another 30 minutes to place our food orders. Wish I could comment on the food quality, but been sat for overan hour and haven't had anything. Having worked in the restaurant industry I can be empathetic for the servers, but this wasn'tparticularly a busy Saturday. Overall, I'd look elsewhere. Read more
Beautiful patio by the river, friendly, casual atmosphere. Food took a while to come but otherwise a great meal.
The location by the water was nice - great place to eat with a view. The food was okay. Standard food you'd get at a pub. Little... outdoor maintenance around the patio - we noticed lots of weeds growing along the building. Overall it was an okay experience -especially with two impatient kids. I added an extra star as the staff didn't charge me for a second drink after my toddlerknocked my first one all over me. They certainly did not have to do that. No complaints on the customer service. They do have a great patio on the water, and the 2 stars is mostly for that. The staff was friendly enough, but obviously... overworked since the service was really slow. My water glass and my son?s glass of iced tea were really gross. They wereprobably used for a Caesar, and were not properly cleaned. My water looked orange. Finally, the food? It was okay. The beef dipwas nothing to write home about, and the jus itself was incredibly salty. I paid a couple bucks more for mashed potatoes, butthey were cold, bitter, and undercooked. Wish I had more positive experience, because the view really is fantastic, but sadly,I would not come back. Read more
When we arrived at about 7pm the kitchen was closed with the exception of appetizers. This was due to staffing issues and no... fault of The Barley Mow. Service was excellent and food pretty good. I would have preferred a full meal, but it ended up beingsatisfying. I would recommend this place and I will return again. Read more
We sat outside, really enjoyed being so close to the water. The fish and chips were excellent, freshly made batter and fish... tasted fresh. Fries were great, salad nice, and really liked the house tarter sauce. My sister had the BLT and also enjoyed. Read more
The view was nice on the patio. The food was not good. I ordered the pulled pork, it was pretty dry and not much sauce or... flavour in it. Just taste plain. Read more
The parking lot is a bit off the beaten path, keep following the signs, despite any urge that you might have to turn back. The... staff were all welcoming and helpful, despite being understaffed. There is loads of seating inside, however, as it was a niceday we chose to sit on the patio. The patio is next to the water and has a really nice vibe. The food is pretty pub farestandard and nothing extraordinary but does the trick. Read more
