OUR SERVER ROWEN ROCKED!!!!!!! Had reservations that friends made for 4 at 11:30. When the doors opened we were greeted by a... lovely young lady named Rowen. She ended up seating us and got us some water she was so laid back & down to earth and all of theLibations and food that she recommended were absolutely delicious. The That’s My Jam Bloody Mary to drink and to eat I had theDevils Eggs with crispy pancetta, caviar, Donut French Toast with three rum caramel & crème anglaise, the Crayfish Tacos, Mac &Cheese Chicken and Waffles, and the Bread Pudding! It was such a wonderful day meeting new friends and people watching thepasserby all dress up as different Alice in wonderland characters that were walking all over Alpharetta, I even had my picturetaken with the queen of hearts while she was waiting for friends at the bar. All in all this restaurant was five stars fivethumbs up delicious and an amazing and our waitress Rowen best one yet! So call Carson’s Kitchen for reservations and ask forRowen you will be glad you did! Read more

Second time dining her for brunch and again stellar service and delicious food! The first time I came with my family. Typically,... taking out smaller children is difficult, but this place had a very good vibe and made it easy to dine in with kids. The secondtime I came with all adults. To start, our server Rowen was extremely warm and provided excellent service. She had greatknowledge of the drink menu and was able to provide fantastic recommendations. Even better, she didn’t let us go empty! Thefood was again stellar. The first time I had the chicken and mac and cheese waffle which was excellent. This time I went withcrawfish tacos, donut french toast, and some of my husband’s shrimp and grits. Everything is so good the only way to enjoy itall is to order the dishes tapas style so you can try everything! Overall, this place is one of my favorites. I will certainlybe back. Read more

It was a beautiful day and downtown was packed with folks. Three of us strolled in for a late brunch without a reservation. No... problem since we missed the earlier breakfast/brunch crowds. We had a nice table inside and we were promptly greeted by ourserver. We started with the Bacon Jam (which was more bacon than jam - definitely not complaining about that), the CrispyChicken Skins (they were okay) and the Killer Shrimp (really good and just enough heat). Our entrees included the Beet Tartare(interesting if you are into beets), the Secret Sunday Chicken Sandwich (very tender) and the Shrimp and Grits (I wanted to lickmy plate in public). Everything was seasoned and flavorful for the most part. We split a Bread Pudding for dessert (so-socompared to others IMO). The service was great, the place itself is nice and bright with outdoor seating as well. I woulddefinitely come back again. Read more

Excellent food & drinks! The service was very good as well. The chicken & waffle made out of mac & cheese was absolutely... amazing! Would highly recommend & will definitely go back to eat again! It is a savory dish not sweet for those expectingclassic chicken & waffles. There is a reason this place is on the list for top brunch places in Alpharetta, it is very good. Read more

Service was great. Food was unnecessarily spicy. If you like spicy then is a great option, yet most plates like the fried... chicken in the Chicken and Waffles, the Italian Sausage Flat bread and the Rainbow Cauliflower were sweat and red cheeks spicy. The Garbage Hash was tasty, and the egg was cooked perfect. The Mac & Cheese Waffle was dry, the Tempura Green Beans was verydense and oily, the Flat Bread was bland and very chard. The drinks were MARVELOUS. We came for brunch and they didn’t haveBacon, Oatmeal or Prosciutto… that was a bummer. Has 2 vegan options. Read more

Bottom line: Great food, but for what they are charging the dining experience needs some work. Pros: We had the pork belly... appetizer and shared the chicken thighs, risotto, pork meatloaf, Mac and cheese, and the glazed donut bread pudding. They wereall really great, especially the bread pudding. Cons: I think the food justifies the price point (which is on the higher sidefor the portion sizes, which are intended to be "tapa" style), but the ambiance and service really didn't seem to match thequality of the food. They only have 5 "entrees" and they were out of two of them. If you're only going to have 5 options you hadbetter have them all. Also, while our server was friendly and polite, there were more wait staff than customers and yet peoplewere having to ask for their servers to come to the table. Not deal killers, but in an area surrounded by quality restaurantoptions, if you want to charge top dollar I feel like attention to small things is what would put them at the top. Read more
