Ever since this place opened up, I?ve loved coming here. Whether it?s with friends, by myself, or just stopping in to pick up a... quick bite, my experience has always been quick and simple. However, my most recent experience was very strange and in starkcontrast to the great service and quality that Gusto! is typically known for. They used to have a way for you to punch in yourphone number at checkout and receive points to your account. They?ve recently forgone this convenient method of receivingincentives in favour of their own app. I?m sure that in the future, the app will prove it?s worth and make checkout even easier,but I was not notified. I can?t speak for other customers, but they have my information for this points program and I wasn?tnotified. I struggled at the checkout for a couple minutes after downloading their app trying to get the whole thing setup, buteventually I gave up. I had somewhere to be and didn?t have time to fumble around with it. After I left the restaurant with mytakeout order, I got halfway to my car when I checked the bag and realised that the woman who had bagged my order forgot toinclude the sweet potato chips that are a part of most if not all of the meals that they sell. If you?ve had them, you know howgood they are, which is why I walked back to the restaurant to retrieve them. Plus, I paid for it! She offered me an extra bagof the chips in an attempt to make reparations for the error, but I declined as their meals are usually just enough to fill meup. I wouldn?t have any room in my stomach for an extra bag of sweet potato chips. They?re not sealed and can get a bit messy ifstored any place where they might shake. When I began to eat the meal, I noticed a couple of things a bit off. The first wasrather unacceptable. QUALITY We're raving fans of the freshness and flavor in all the dishes here. I recommendtrying the unami tofu. Gusto! in Avalon has a uniquely contemporary menu, made with simple, fresh ingredients. Menu is minimal, which I like, with... options that are varied enough for you to find something you?ll love. Friendly staff with warm greetings on entry. Nice and quiet time to enjoy your lunch with a lot of sitting room. The Chipotle... Mango Avocado Grilled Chicken and Shrimp was delicious. We were leaving Avalon and happened to walk by gusto! on our way to the car. We were intrigued by a sign advertising grilled... baby bellas and the ambiance was so nice we decided to give it a try. We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the foodand how tastey everything was. They certainly don't sacrifice taste to make their food healthy.
