I was very impressed by the level of service and quality of food. I had the grilled chicken topped with Bleu cheese and tomato... salad. The chicken was very moist and delicious. The other people in my party had chicken fried steak, which was huge! Read more

Simply the finest Southwestern restaurant in the State of Texas. Tenderloin Tamales are perfection. My bride pronounced the... "Citrus Crusted Chicken with Rosemary Honey Mustard Sauce" the best Chicken she's ever had! Texas Bourbon Whiskey a perfectcomplement. Very reasonable prices at lunch time. Desserts excelente: Apple crumb with Cinnamon Ice Cream & Creme Brulee! Read more

Reata is a lil bit of Heaven in Alpine Texas! Service was above excellent, atmosphere very relaxing and inviting. The house red... is exceptional. If you are a tamale lover, you MUST get the tenderloin tamales! I ordered them, and the jalapeño cilantro soupas my meal, and I only managed to eat two! Thank goodness my husband was up to the challenge to “sample” the third tamale! They are just scrumptious, especially with a bit of the jalapeño cilantro soup drizzled on top! Hubby had the carne asada withenchiladas, and said it was very good. It must have been, cause his plate was pretty much wiped clean! ???? To our utter dismay,we were too stuffed to indulge in the Crème brûlée????. So that just means another trip to Reata will definitely be in ournear future! Save us a seat, K? Read more

We had the best experience at Reatta last night. We started with the calf fries and pepper gravy, they were delicious. For our... entrees my husband had had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes, he said it was absolutely delicious and loved that ithand battered and not all batter. I had the cheese enchiladas over a carne asada. One of the best meals I’ve had in a longtime. Love the ambiance of the little home turned into a charming little restaurant. Our server was Lorrie (she was also thebartender) and she was great, suggested the enchiladas and asada for me, which like I said was amazing. She was very busywaiting tables and bartending for the whole restaurant and she never missed a beat taking caring of us. I highly recommend andcan’t wait to eat there again. Read more

It’s been a while since I’ve written a review, but this place warranted one! Such a great menu selection - I think I would... eat every single item. Walking in, the restaurant smelled pleasant, clean, and was very homey. We walked to the back patio andgot to pass thru an awesome sun room with a tree growing thru the ceiling. I imagine it would be cool to dine in there as well, but we chose to sit outside. Out back, there was a great mix of plants, art, and seating that I could chill at for hours. Nowfor the food… WOW! We started with the crab stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeños served over grits and the tenderloin tamalestopped with pecan mash. Jalapeños were cooked perfectly as to not mush but crunch when biting. Grits were perfect. Thetamales were excellent, no complaints there. For dinner, I got the carne asada topped with cheese enchiladas served with riceand beans. The rice was cooked perfectly with a subtle hint of lime and cilantro, the beans were great, and the enchiladas hadjust enough crust on the outside from the fried cheese. The steak was very tasty, just ever so slightly over cooked from themedium rare I requested. I would 10/10 return! Read more

I eat the citrus chicken and it was pretty good. My son ordered the steak from the children menu and he liked. My daughter... ordered the mac and chesse and she said it was ok. My wife ordered the three chesse enchiladas and she could not eat thembecause it was too spice. The restaurant ambient is amazing and service is good too. I would gave 4.5 because they shouldmention that the enchilladas are spicy, that is why I am giving 4 stars. Read more

Great place for lunch. Got busy fast after 1130am open. Really fast. We got seated out back on patio for two without an rsvp... ahead. Got served within 15 mins of ordering up. The CFS and CFC entrees both very good but the CFC we agreed was better. Sideoptions are also well done and tasty. Nice patio space to take in a meal with. Read more

The Reata has a subtly elegant western vibe that I absolutely love. Tables are pretty close together which was great because we... were able to visit with the other dinner guests! We chatted with some awesome folks and enjoyed the tenderloin tamales andfantastic chicken fried steaks. We returned the following week for lunch with our neighbors and had chicken fried chicken, thehouse salad, and sour cream enchiladas. Food was exceptional and the service was on point. Be sure to check out all the historicphotos! Read more
