Okay this is probably the only decent sushi buffet left in central Florida, so I say this with the most gratitude. I am also... comparing this to some better ones I've been to in California and Las Vegas. I drove all the way from Tampa to go here for thesushi variety. I appreciate the effort to provide a decent spread, however the replenishment of certain items was lacking andthe sushi rice was too sour and tart lacking a subtle sweetness to balance out the flavor. This is an issue because no matterhow good the sushi ingredients are, a bad flavor profile for the sushi rice will ruin it all. Also many of their sashimi saladsand seafood salads lacked flavor and appear to be sloppily flavored and seasoned. Once again bland or just sour. Lacking a morecomplex and well thought out flavor profile. Service was okay,the lady cleared plates and refilled drinks. The gentleman whowelcomed us is stern and appears to play the role of the "pit boss." All in all give it a go and see what you think and if myreview holds any merit here. I love their location in Lake Mary and I wanted to try out the buffet. The pictures online make it seem larger on the inside... but it?s not that big. The Quality of the sushi is 100% better at the Lake Mary location but when you?re doing a Buffet youcan?t expect the best but the sushi was good for the price. it?s confusing for your first time because you don?t reallyunderstand how to work the Buffet and the workers just stand there and look at you LOL there are special instructions on how toorder the hibachi and the soup. The waitress was super sweet & helpful wish I could remember her name. We definitely got ourmoney worth, also ordered beer, sake & Boba tea. This place has a great display and variety of delicious sushi and sashimi. There were hot crab legs but were slightly... soggy(over boiled) but not salty like some other places. The hot and cold bar has a good selection of tasty food. Definitely anotch up from the other similar buffet restaurants. My children wanted sushi for a late dinner and they were not disappointed. My children surprised me for Mother's day and we came to this amazing place. Mikado was a really fun experience. They have all types of wines and sake here. My friends and I arrived on a busy week day.... They feature a whole area where the chefs are making sushi and hand rolls. Theres a cold food section in the middle, hot bar,soup station and sashimi area as well. This is definitely a seafood lovers place as they have shrimp, fish of course, crab legs,and oysters. They feature over 30 selections of sushi, udon/ramen soup and 50% off sake, beer and wine daily during HH between5-7 PM. Its definitely a fun place to take the family as they have all types of food. You get a nice variety of everything hereand the service was great as well. Less than 30 minutes from Orlando this was definitely worth the drive.
