I was hesitant to try this place because of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised! Really tasty. I had the orange chicken and... the crab wontons. I like how you can just order 2 of the wontons with your meal and don't have to get a whole other of them. Iadded a few vegetables to the orange chicken and everything made it on there. I could've used a little more protein, and some ofthe black flakes from the chicken tasted burnt but not totally unpleasant to me. Read more

The food order was incorrect and the wait was 20 minutes, which the wsitress advised me it would be about 20 minutes, but in all... fairness The food was hot when I received it. IT was Tasty too. I waited to long for the food to return it. They were very busy.I was excited the food was actually hot. That meant a lot to me especially since Panda Express food is always cold.Never hot! Also less expensive. Read more

This review is of Pei Wei in general and not necessarily this location only. I just want everyone to know that Pei Wei is not... the restaurant we once knew. Gone are the Freestyle Coke machines, lemon and mandarin orange slices, real plates and utensils. They now have us eating out of plastic bowls and using plastic utensils. The food prices remain the same but the amount ofprotein has shrunk. What I got on my last visit was a big bowl of clumpy low quality rice. Probably long grain rather thanjasmine or basmati with a few morsels of chicken. I had the Thai coconut chicken with much too little sauce to give themountain of rice any flavor. Huge disappointment. Pei Wei used to pack the place but now it was a grave yard. I went to theWinter Garden location a few weeks ago and it too was dead. My mother who is not local to any Pei Wei remembers it fondly so wewent when she was last in town and she later told me that it was not as good as she remembered it. On these last visits it waslike eating at a Costco snack bar without the crowds. And if I wanted plastic everything, I can get that at Panda Express for alot less money. Sure Panda does not, as a matter of course make our food to order, but that is a service available uponrequest. The food is still delivered to the table fresh at Pei Wei but that's about all the service Pei Wei still offers. PeiWei is operating as if it is on it's way out and I think the time is now to start searching for something similar to what PeiWei once was. Read more

I am sadden to post this review of a quick dine-in spot I used to frequent but management should be aware of the quality. I... hadn?t been to the Altamonte location in a while and met my son for dinner last night. We both ordered chicken dishes and weredisappointed when our bowls arrived they were 75% rice and lacked sauce. The flavors were what I remembered (King Pao andOrange) but for $11-12/each I expect some protein. We were rushed for time and left after picking at our meals. Crossing themoff my list. Read more

Customer Service was amazing!! We ordered online and got our food a few minutes after we got there, the manager was so kind and... (after making sure we didn?t have a shellfish allergy) gave us a gift of a couple crab wontons! No reason just to be kind andloved it! Read more

I've ordered from here before and sometimes the vegetables have been undercooked but that I have not found to be a problem since... I like veggies no matter what, but today I placed a bourbon chicken order and it came out burnt sadly the taste of the sauce wasa little sour due to burnt chicken. I ate what I could since I was pressed on time and couldn't go back and return/exchange.Very dissatisfied and disappointed. After reading some reviews it seems this is not the first time it happens. My sister gave me some coupons, I had been to Pei Wei once in Winter Garden. Reviews made me question if Altamonte Springs... location could rise to thr occadion and make a decent take out meal. Location was not busy when I arrived around 730pm. Read themenu and decided on my choices. Cashier took my order and I waited for my otder. She proceeded to leave the register area. Otherstaff helped other customers picking up their orders. Food was prepared rather quickly. Hot and fresh smelling all the way home.Ordered Thai Coconut Curry chicken with noodles and Spicy Korean BBQ Steak with brown rice. The Thai Coconut Curry Chicken wascreamy tasty and a touch of spice from the curry. The Spicy Korean BBQ Steak was definitely spicy to my delight. Good food andspicy done right. Read more

Never been here before told the person at the register just that. Ordered something to spicy to eat for me. I apologized for my... mistake and asked if they could just make what my son was eating since I tried it. Well my food came back drenched in so muchsauce and burnt. Whole dish just tasted burnt. I did not feel comfortable enough to tell her yet another dish will not work forme. I did not eat it and just left. Needless to say never again will I visit a Piw Wei. It was not busy and they were not shortstaffed. I am a restaurant manager and was very disappointed. Read more
