This is definitely a batched order only location. The food seems to be correct, and the bags are well packed, but not once has... an order been ready within a 5-min period of Ready Time, and often can exceed 10-min. The workers absolutely put online orders(delivery OR pickup) aside for anyone in store. Drinks have not been provided any of the times I have come, and workersblatantly turned away from me when I spoke to them. On one particular occasion, I came inside and asked about the order. Theysaid it would be about 10 min, so I waited outside. They then made 3 walk in orders before closing the store 10 minutes early.The Ready Time was over a half order before closing, and the had not at any point begun preparing the order. I'm a big fan of Firehouse Subs. Especially that Engineer sub sandwich! This location has always had friendly workers when I've... been there. Sometimes there have been some long waits, but you can only make these hot subs so fast -- and they get reallybusy. My only really complaint is pretty minor, and may be a "franchise-wide" issue? But I've always tried to earn points withpurchases and tracked them in their app on my phone. It used to be, any time I went into a Firehouse Subs, the PIN pad would askfor my phone number automatically to earn points. Now, it seems like it never does (at least at the Alton location) and I alwayshave to remember to tell the cashier I want to earn points, and they have to key in my number manually. Read more

I just had recently visited this location it was dirty the workers didn?t even take my order it was by far the worst firehouse... sub I?ve ever been to. I wouldn?t recommend this one to anyone and I will never return to it. Read more

If you want a meatball sub on dry crusty bread and have to wait, and wsit, and wait for it, this is your place. Even people who... ordered ahead online were sitting 15-20 minutes for their orders, calling their work places to let them know why they were notback yet. No. They were not short on staffing. I was eating here 3-4 times a week until today. Ordered online per usual. Received my confirmation and monies taken from my... account at 1143. ( confirmation email states monies not deducted until order is confirmed. At 1209 still waiting for my food Icall to make sure the order was received. ( Lady that answers the phone yells and tells me she?s too busy to tell me anything.Horrible service. Called back to cancel the order(because there is no online option to do so) she again yells and tells me she?stoo busy to cancel my order and to call back. Read more

The food was great but all of the drinks were out along with lids and condiments BUT I am not in any way blaming the associates.... They looked to be overwhelmed and understaffed. The wait was long but again they were understaffed. The food made up foranything else lacking. Read more

It was pretty dang amazing I can't say enough good things about this sandwich shop I had the brisket and I will never forget... this epic tidbit. From the first bite to the last swallow it blew my mind . would recommend and will most definitely return. Read more

Been here twice, the sandwiches are very good. However they forgot the pickle both times. The mac and cheese was very good the... first time but the second time was given cold and didn't have the bread crumbs on top. Read more
