The best place in Alton to get specialty coffees. Their summer cider, while not a coffee, was also incredible and I can’t wait... for it to be back in season. My only complaint is some of their offerings are so good they sell out quickly. Thankfully theyrecently improved their supply chain efforts so it is rare for that to happen now. Read more

A good Coffee Haus with a great variety of specialty coffee drinks. The atmosphere here is wonderful for meeting someone for... coffee, small meeting for business, coming to do some studying, or just to have a cuppa coffee. Very nice. I also love whenthere are young barista’s that enjoy coffee and sharing their favorite specialty drink. (Try the “Ethan Special”!) I am a costumer of this coffee shop in Jerseyville Illinois on a regular basis. Usually they do an amazing job. But today I was... a little disappointed. I ordered my coffee and I sat at the window a really long time while my coffee sat on the counter by thewindow and by the time I finally got it the whipped cream was halfway melted . Now I know I saw at least 4 employees walk pastit. I believe they should have a rule that the person sitting outside the window with their vehicle running should never have tosit there and watch as the ice and whipped cream melt in their coffee so the employees can make the drinks for the cars behindthem . Hands down my favorite coffee shop. We travel a lot and I like to try small local coffee shops everywhere we go. Most are overly... sweet or inconsistent. But Germania will get you the same drink every time. I love that they make a lot of their syrups inhouse- and have so many unique flavors. The staff is always so friendly and helpful! The blended drinks are not icy at all-perfect consistency to the last sip. I can’t stand the wax-y feeling or ice-y feeling of the Starbucks frappacinos anymore.
