My daughter?s bridal shower was at Nicky Gs. Everything, and I mean everything?..the decorations, atmosphere, food,... attentiveness was absolutely perfect. Nicky Gs also catered my daughters wedding at Loveland Estates in Pocahontas, IL. Deepours her heart and soul into her work and it shows. The food was impeccable! Not to bad. The bread stick was a little hard. I would have liked more white sauce on my shells because the sauce was very good.... The poppy seed dressing is sweet and I loved it The waitress (I think she was one of the owners) was very attentive to ourneeds. Ever since it opened, I have been wanting to go there. I finally went today and I'm so glad I did. The pizza was amazing. The... waitress we had gave us the Nicky G salad. Very nice quaint little restaurant. Wife and I have been there twice. First time I had the homemade lasagna and my wife had the... Mac and cheese, plus she added bacon. The lasagna was great, lots of cheese and very good marinara sauce. Large serving. The Macand cheese sauce is awesome. Large enough for sharing or leftovers. The Nicky G salad is also good and the dressing is a sweetlight Italian. Love it. Second time we tried the personal Pizza's. Lots of choices. It was very good. Crust was fresh and cookto where it had a little chew and crunch all at the same time. We both thought it was very good. Also came with a salad. Onlysuggestion is a better Italian crusty bread or bake fresh bread sticks and brush them with butter n garlic. Will definitely beback. Good Luck to the owners. Read more
The food is awesome! Their house dressing is delicious! I got their lasagna (which comes with a side salad and breadstick) and... it is one of the best I?ve ever had. Their prices are phenomenal. Would highly recommend for casual Italian. Word of caution:dining room is small, as is their parking lot, but they have a takeout option so it?s easy to take home if you have a biggergroup. Read more
