This Village Inn gets a big THUMBS DOWN from me! Called to order a holiday pie, and it says on the recording “for pie orders... press 2,” only to be told upon the phone being answered that pies should be ordered online. Then spent 25 minutes onlineattempting to order said pie… Finally, when I arrived to pick up my pie, I was told I needed an order confirmation number. The woman refused to look up my order by name, email, etc. I had to leave the store to get my phone and show her my emailpurchase receipt… When I pointed out that there was no confirmation number on the receipt, which is what she asked for, she then she started going on about how people who forgot to pick up their pies yesterday are SOL! I was scheduled to pick up my pieat the time I arrived. Thanks for being in the holiday spirit lady! I know it was the same woman with absolutely divinecustomer service skills that told me to order my pie online. I’ll get my pies from Perkins (where they have helpful andfriendly staff) from now on. Happy Holidays! Read more

The food was mediocre and will not be returning anytime soon. Our waitress disappeared and never came back to check on us after... we were served. This place used to be a great restaurant. Read more

The food was good. Very short-staffed. Jack our server was great. It looks VERY old in there and not in a good way.

Cook yelling at waitress “Get out my face” she was crying. Very under staffed. The owner definitely needs to pay more to get... good people. Altoona is a very wealthy area, so if you pay better to get workers the place would make more money. 1 star untilyou pay your workers what they are worth to get better staff. Read more

Stopped for lunch with my Mom. We both got the 2 pairings of a cup of tomato basil soup and 1/2 of a reuben. The soup needed to... be hotter and the sandwich needed to be toasted more and was very messy. Pretty expensive at $9.99 apiece, considering the priceof a full sandwich with a side. Will try something else next visit. The hostess was very friendly and our server Buffy was extrabusy but took good care of us. Read more
