First time trying cracker barrel and surprised by the outcome! They offer a large amount of food for a price less than you... expect. With so many sides and entrees to choose from, you would want to try everything! Super friendly staff and can browse thegift shop after your feast! Read more

This place can be hit or miss. I got the chicken fried chicken, which was good and the sides were hot. The fried pickles were... absolutely drenched in oil and needed to be blotted on a napkin, but after that tasted good. Friendly server and host, thoughthe lady who cashed us out seemed irritated. Not bad for a Monday afternoon, although there's room for improvement. Read more

I had a bad experience at the State College location where no one waited on me, so I decided to stop at this location during my... travels west. Everyone was so kind and friendly. The food was delicious and came out fast. The retail employees were awesome aswell. Skip the State College location and head to Altoona! Read more

Food and service is what you would expect of Cracker Barrel restaurant. Pancakes are delicious with the warmed maple syrup. This... was my first time ordering the Beignets and they were a sweet appetizer, I suggest ordering when you visit. Nice and cleanrestrooms as well. Read more

Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the employees, the ambiance! The little store is filled with something for... everyone!!! For young and old alike. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. For me and my fiance it cost $30food and we left a 8.00 tip so 2 for under $40 wasn't bad for a Sunday Dinner. I included our pictures and a few iteems ofchildrens toys we are interested in getting our granddaughter and some art on the walls. It does no justice lol. You have to goand see everything they have From A to Z!!!! Read more

This is the very first time that I have written a review- good or bad. I probably should take the time to sing the praises, but... extra time is very limited. That is why I have ordered many Holiday Meals from Cracker Barrel. I have been more than happy andwould sing praises to family, friends and co-workers. This year I am extremely disconcerted and actually quite angry. There willbe no boosting to the masses this year! When ordering I noticed that no dessert was included. I could handle that and workaround it, so I purchased a pecan pie from Cracker Barrel when I was picking up my meal. I was still happy and rushed to finishup the rest of my Holiday To-Do List. When unpacking my meal at home, I noticed the portions of the sizes with this Easter Mealwas disappointing because the bread loaf size containers were not even filled to the top. One can even see the bottom of thepan in the hash brown casserole. The meal I purchased is to feed four to six people, I'm not sure if the portion sizes wouldeven feed three. So, all that being said, one more thing because I"m feeling petty, all the other meals that I have purchasedhas had a small gift. No dessert added, no free holiday related gift, and small portion sizes, I will not be having CrackerBarrel preparing my Holiday Meals again. Read more

My all time favorite place to go to, I got for the chicken and dumplings. I never had an issue with my food, and I go quite... often, love the gift shop, It can be pricey, but its worth it, you always have to wait for a table there because it is alwaysbusy but the food is home-cooked and definitely worth the wait. The best part is there Pecan pie in the fall, and they give youfree dessert for your birthday and staff will come out and sing to you, and the best place to sit is in front of the fireplace. My dad loves the maple bacon grilled chicken the most, and recommend the cocoa cola cake if you have room for dessert.
