This place is always good. Good food, staff is always very friendly. There was a birthday at the table next to us and we got... to see someone go in the saddle. I do not think I have ever had anything bad here. They did run out of my beer of choice, butI am not picky. This is a good place to take the family or relax with a group of friends. Read more

Great atmosphere and wonderful food! - last three times we've went, had to wait half the meal for the steaks to be cooked right... but still delicious. On the weekend be prepared for an hour wait for a table, definitely use the online waitlist. Read more

Would NOT recommend. Waited over forty minutes for ToGo order and this is what it looks like. Hand for reference. Don’t go for... the salmon at this location. Quality has gone downhill. Look elsewhere. Read more

Very busy for a Wednesday at 6pm however we didn't have a wait time and everything was fast. Our server was very tentative to... our needs, had no issues with food and everything tasted great. Spent $80 with an app, 3 entrees, and two alcoholic beverageswith extra shots in them. Overall a very good dining experience, would recommend and go back. Read more

Have been there about 4 times over the past 2 months. Have ordered the same 11oz sirloin steak medium rare. Comes out like this... every time. Send it back and it comes out with some pink. I never ask for $$ off I just want my steak cooked right. Managersthere need to manage the kitchen because they can’t cook anything right the first time. Read more

Full time traveler for the last 6 months, this has to be our best overall restaurant service experience. Greeting, walk to... table, waitress and management check up was fantastic. Just the way it should be. Food was hot, cooked correctly and brought tous on time after I had my salad.. Not sure, but I would say management is really engaged. Waitress was on the JOB. Took ourorder, and followed up accordingly. Keep up the great service! Read more

Stopped in for dinner. Staff were friendly and I received excellent service. I ordered a steak (medium rare) and came out... more on the rare side. Waitress offered to redo the steak but it was not necessary as I also eat rare steaks. Overall it wasa great experience. Read more

Native Texan here. And apart from the fact Texas Roadhouse is a national chain that was founded in Indiana and headquartered in... Kentucky, they do a DECENT job of trying to replicate the food you’d get at much better known establishments in my belovedLone Star State. How you know Texas Roadhouse isn’t 100% authentic is there is no fried okra on the menu; in Texas, it isALWAYS beef ribs—NEVER pork; and Texans don’t say “Yeehaw” anywhere (but probably at Texas Roadhouse). The draw hereare their steaks. But it kind of never matters which cut of steak we order, it’s just mediocre. I just go for the SouthernFried Sirloin—which again, you KNOW it’s not 100% Texan because it is ONLY and EVER referred to as Chicken Fried Steak inTexas—or the south, period. I’m splitting hairs on this only because I know my stuff. Besides, once you’ve visitedauthentic Texas steakhouses or been to Japan where the BEST steaks and real wagyu beef is from, you’re kind of ruined for lifeordering steak from anywhere else. A real Texas steakhouse would have a pit somewhere on the property. You’d be able tosmell the food before even getting out of your car. But Texas Roadhouse doesn’t have a pit, which explains why their ribs andchicken aren’t smoked and are too wet with sauce. Slapping sauce onto meat (without even bothering to leave it long enough onthe grill to carmelize) is a sign of a bad pit master trying to cover up bad barbcue. And again—we don’t do pork ribs inTexas. Texas Roadhouse has to know this on some level too because they don’t explicitly identify their ribs as being beef orpork on their menu. They just refer to them as ribs, and what you get is pork. And it’s probably because beef ribs areharder to do. Texas Roadhouse in Altoona is probably the most popular eating establishment in the area because Altoona justdoesn’t have much of a food scene to speak of. Texas Roadhouse is just fine, but it speaks volumes of how the lack of fooddiversity can stunt an Read more
