Interesting little coffee shop. They make a decent dirty chai and the kolaches are fresh. Plenty of space to hang out and read... from their book collection or meet with a group. Cost is a little on the higher side. Read more
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Great atmosphere, plenty of great seats, different areas so you don't feel too close to people and they make... great coffee. They also have activities here too. I havnt had a chance to attend but I think it's awesome. A place to hang outthat isn't a bar! Whoooo! Read more

Forget starbucks! First time here and the experience was phenomenal! Ashley was ready as soon as we walked in, she was patient,... kind, and had great customer service! She gave recommendations and her own experience with different items. She explainedeverything thoroughly and made us feel as if there was no question we ordered the perfect drink. Drinks came out and they wereamazing as described. They have alot of variety and choices for milk used. The environment is so relaxed we ended up staying forover half an hour just hanging out. This small coffee shop nestled in the heart of Alvin is an amazing escape from the crazy of life. The staff and service are... fantastic and the coffee and food are fresh and delicious. The owners are actively involved and you will often see themchatting with customers. The thing that really keeps me coming back is the absolute friendliness of the staff. Each month thiscoffee shop hosts a community game night that is sure to be filled with lots of banter and laughter. This past month was BINGOnight and it was so much fun. During a time of polarized views on COVID, they opt to allow their customers to choose whether ornot they wear masks. While the staff does not wear masks, they do maintain the highest level of cleanliness and make sure toprovide a safe environment for those of whom they serve. I appreciate the fact that even though I choose to mask, no disparagingcomments were made; and none are made to those that opt to not wear masks. It?s a breath of fresh air to find somewhere thatwelcomes you with a smile no matter your beliefs. Well done. I will be coming back here for as long as they have their doorsopen. I love 1820 coffee house! They serve fresh ground coffee beans roasted to in-house refined recipes to deliver a deliciously... smooth hot or cold cup of coffee. 1820 is locally owned and operated with christian principals and the highest standards. Today I had a Cowboy frappe and it was fantastic. My wife had a toasted coconut iced coffee. We should have enjoyed a fresh,delicious, house baked brownie like before but instead we settle into a comfy couch and had the pleasure of chatting with one ofour high school teachers from the early 2000s. Meeting with old friends is a commonality at 1820 while enjoying the friendlyatmosphere. Please visit 1820 and support their hometown quality and values instead of the other options. Read more
