We had a great dinner here! Like a hip-er Hamptons take on a red sauce and pizza joint. The chopped salad was crunchy and... refreshing. My spicy vodka campanelle was al dente and a solid classic take! The spicy honey pepperoni pizza was salty sweetgoodness?yes, the crust is quite dense, but I love it that way (it?s like a ?grandma pizza? crust). Not sure why there are someless than stellar reviews?in my experience with other pizzerias, ordering slices means a reheat of a pie, so maybe that?s what?shappening for them? Excellent Pizza very unique . Next day went back and had chicken parmesan which was $26 we thought it would come with pasta... (spaghetti) but we were wrong we had to order that separately ($15). Was it worth $41? no. I couldn?t believe it so I asked andthey verified that it comes alone. If you go only order the pizza you won?t be disappointed or outraged by your meal. Read more
Like so many of the foofoo Hampton's eateries, Astro's didn't meet my expectations. Beginning with a 90-minute wait for pick up,... the pizza had fresh and innovative toppings (including a hint of lemon, I think), but the crust came up short IMO. I haven'teven seen the bill yet, but for pizza, it will be a couple of standard deviations outside the normal range. I'd go there again,don't get me wrong, but in the meantime, I'll keep looking for other alternatives. Read more
I?ll give them five stars because I love local restaurants. Pizza is actually a bit better than before (roman style) but too... inventive: nobody needs honey, fish or pineapple on pizzas. They need to simplify the menu. The ambience is hard to inferenceas I only saw a few teenagers there for the summer and no adult manager. Place could be cozier. I?m a long time local and this was my favorite pizza places growing up. Tony and the gang were amazing. There?s a new owner this... year, and they have killed the soul of this place and killed the pizza too. Very much intended for the city people. Only had thecheese pizza take out style. But it was square, rock hard, and not Astro?s. When reading reviews make sure they are from 2022.Because it?s a totally different place now. Read more
I love this place! This is my favorite place to have some good pizza at any time of day! I have been here during the day,... evening and late and night, and the food ALWAYS tastes great. They are really consistent with their food and I am sure you willlove your meal. I really enjoy the food, atmosphere and the friendly staff that works there. I even left my phone outside theirrestaurant on the bench a few years back, and called the restaurant to help me find it. The staff was nice enough to grab it forme and keep it charged until I came to get it the next day. I highly recommend you check them out! Read more
Was out here in August and this was our first meal in the Hamptons - daughter and I are gluten free and it was a fabulous pizza!... We also had the salad - and the dressing was amazing. Really pretty inside with all white walls - reminds me of a pizza placeI grew up with and the service is super awesome - friendly and accomodating! We came back again when we were out there! Thesummer time drink specials were also really fun to try - so if you have to wait a bit, order a drink and sit outside in thecourtyard. Read more
