Real ingredients. Real delicious. We were able to order tapas style so everyone at the table could try a bit of every dish. Il... buco did not disappoint. We ordered the rosemary focaccia, oysters, the salad (s/o amber waves!!) the bass, corn and somedessert. Each better than the last. Gorgeous environment and lovely staff. Can’t wait to go back! Just finished lunch here and had an unexpectedly fantastic meal. Keri the bartender showed us the friendliest service. The... atmosphere is casual but sophisticated. The backyard tables looked really nice on the grass enclosed in shrubs. Highlights werethe Mushroom Focaccia, Cauliflower with Labne, and the Spanish Tuna presentation. There seemed to be dozens of employees workingthere on a quiet lunch shift which was kind of intense. Read more

We had a fantastic time here. The atmosphere was kind of edgy (in a fun way) compared to normal Italian places. They played 80s... rock mostly and the waiters were lively and fun. The food was stellar. The tinned items were unique to try, and while theyweren't a hit with the whole party, they were really interesting and enjoyable nonetheless. The pasta, small, and main plateswere amazing and everyone loved everything we ordered. Each dish is well crafted with a stand out flavor profile. Even theveggies were exciting and delicious. And the cocktails were awesome as well. Overall our experience was exceptional. We wouldreturn in a heart beat. Read more

I’ll preface my review by noting the food was Really good. We decided to have our NYE meal here because we heard great... reviews about the spot in NYC. Generally, the food and the service were fine; however, because we arrived 30 min late, themanager pushed our food out (set menu) before we got our drinks. It was obvious he wanted us out as quickly as possible sincethe time was nearing midnight. The waiter tried to make up for it by giving us a bottle of bubbly, but the mood was alreadyoff. Finally, when we asked where we could go to spend New Years, the waiter said he just received a text message saying thepizza spot on the stretch was “packed.” After the check was brought out - before finishing our dessert - we rushed to thepizza spot. When we arrived we immediately realized the waiter LIED. The pizza spot was closed; we ended spending New Years inthe car. Woohoo. ***This review reflects my opinion and not that of the people I was with.*** Read more

I ate here when it first opened and complained about the food and service. Having recently heard very positive things about the... restaurant, I returned Thursday night and boy, was I happy! We ordered the focaccia with eggplant and other toppings and it wasexcellent. Like pizza, but different. It’s a huge portion that is for several people. I then had the spaghetti with clams andI was blown away. Loved the littlenecks, the pasta truly al dente, and it seemed like there were crunchy breadcrumbs on top. This is not your typical white clam sauce. You must try it. My husband had the cacio e pepe bucatini which he said was verygood. I had the smoked chicken topped with greens and yellow string beans. The smoked chicken had crisp skin and the meatitself melted in my mouth. The portion was huge and I brought some home. I also ate way too much, but loved every minute of it.The service was professional and polished and I HIGHLY recommend Il Buco...if you can get in! Bravo to the chef and manager!! Read more

Visited all the way from Texas and it was well worth it. The walk from the train station is absolutely adorable and then you get... to il Buco and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The inside of the restaurant has a very warm and cozy feeling. The staff wasincredible and so friendly and attentive. We sat in the garden area and it was also very beautiful and felt amazing outside. Thefood was just amazing. I thought it would be smaller portions so I was happily surprised to see the portion of some the meals !The mussels in the tin were a personal favorite. I wish I could take this restaurant back to Dallas with me. Read more
