We love coming to Abuelo's and it's usually really great food and service but our last visit was different. Our waitress seemed... mad that we were there. I'm not sure what was going on behind the scenes but she was not happy. Food was good, it definitelysat back in the kitchen awhile before it got out to us. Delicious is how I describe the food here! Plating of the food was spot on. They bring you 4 different hot sauces out that alll... very good. Of course the hots one was my favorite. Abuelo's has definitely stepped their game back up. We used to frequently go here but had not gone as often due to quality going... down some. Well, last night it was redeemed! Food was hot, fresh, delicious! Our server was attentive and sweet. I suggest youcheck out the "gluten-free menu" even if you can have gluten, there are delicious dishes on that section! I have never been to this place till this past Saturday, i have hear good and bad things about this place but I had to try it... for myself. We went here in the large group of ten, in my experience the atmosphere was great and they had a great open areawith the great view of the fountain. But the negative side was that the food quality was low specially for the their prices.Service was slow and it took them a white to get our food ready and the waiter only came and checked on us once after we gotour food and we all needed a drink refill. I will try this place again in smaller group to see if anything changes. Read more
Unfortunately, this decent mom and pop style Mexican restaurant now thinks of itself as some kind of high end dining experience.... Nothing has changed over the years except the prices. They have skyrocketed. The food is fine, but Joe Taco and multiple TacoTrucks serve as good if not better food at 1/3 to 1/2 the price. And forget about the drinks here. First, the service was some of the best in my travels. The Grande Plate( pictured) was more than enough to share. Mu daughter... loved the food, and so did I. I did find the ground beef slightly less amazing but still easily a 4 Stat restaurant. Read more
