I ate here for lunch 2 days in a row. Very friendly staff. Very fast service. I ordered a 3-meat plate, sides and dessert.... Amazing cabbage and sausage. My sliced brisket was dry. Chicken was under-seasoned and tough. Mac and cheese tasted a littlelike Kraft, but good. Pound cake ????????. But I was still overall pleased. To their defense, they did ask me several times waseverything ok. I left my initial review after my first visit. These people take much pride in their food. Perhaps, my firstvisit was an off day. I went back the next day with a large group of friends. After being confronted about my review from theelderly cashier, I ordered catfish, cabbage and potato salad. Everything was good. I stand by my review. This is a solidrestaurant. I?d recommend it even though I probably won?t eat there again. Read more

We stopped in for lunch and had a fantastic smothered chicken plate with corn o'brian that was also great. I had the turkey... lunch plate and was very happy with the cornbread stuffing and turkey gravy that was super flavorful. Definitely recommend forany meal! Ordered the One meat chopped brisket, greens, and Corn O'Brien and I have to say this is hands down the best food I've had in... the city. The barbecue sauce shoots past my expectations and the customer service and atmosphere ofthe Restaurant is unmatched.10/10 Would highly reccomend, I'll definitely be coming back, so good that I'm taking my kids, and their kids. Such a great vibe! Very friendly staff and always busy. I don?t even eat meat but the baked potato and mixed greens are... fantastic. (got the meat on the side and gave to a friend) Their bbq sauce is the best, too! Their sweet potatoes are the bestI?ve ever had! My friend ordered a 2 meat plate with two sides and loved it all- had to take half of it home bc it was so muchfood! THE PLACE: Delvin's is absolutely fantastic! The staff (who are actually the family that own and run the place) are super... polite, friendly, and very personable. You order at the counter, they let you know which table to sit at, and then they bringyou your drinks and food. As for the menu, there are a ton of great choices and the prices are insanely reasonable! THE FOOD Wegot the 2 meat plate which came with a roll and the choice of 2 sides. The portions were generous for sure! My other half gottheir ribs and brisket with sweet potato casserole and greens with cabbage. I got their brisket and sausage with sweet potatocasserole and fries. None of it was greasy and all of it was amazing! The brisket and ribs both had great smoked flavor. Thesausage was tender and has a great mild flavor. The sweet potato casserole isn't overly sweet and had a nice crunchy topping toit. The fries had more of a baked feel and were cooked perfectly!
