Place was amazing! Second attempt to eat here, first time they were so busy we didn't want to bother them with the trouble, big... mistake! Wish we would have tried it then instead of waiting. The sushi was perfect, had the Angel Roll. We had fried calamarias our appetizer, which was cooked to perfection. And we both had the beef ramen. Will be returning. Read more
Fun Noodle Bar...seen their commercial and decided to try them. We ordered a Lobster Roll, Pan Fried Bao, Seaweed Salad w/ Crab... and Shrimp Pad Thai. I am very impressed!! Fresh ingredients with amazing flavor. The Bao takes time to cook, which we had noproblems waiting. The waiter was super sweet and did his job very well. Honestly good quality, and flavor unlike the norm for Amarillo. I ordered takeout, got a couple rolls which are decently price... compared to the competition, and they were absolutely delicious. The sweet and sour sauce that comes with the egg rolls isthick, which I love, and a good flavor as well. The fried rice comes in a small package but was actually a big portion, whichwas nice. The only issue I had was the soup comes in separate containers, and the noodles formed into a clump at the bottom ofthe bowl which didn't separate. This place is fantastic, my new favorite Asian restaurant in town. Service is excellent, and food is great. Food arrives very... quickly, and is hot and freshly made. Their dumplings, pot stickers and boa are amazing. So is the dumpling sauce. Sushi is alsoexcellent and always presented with a nice little drawing. Amarillo isn't ready for how great Fun Noodle Bar is. I feel like I've been transported back into the basement restaurant in a... shopping mall in Taipei. They get you in with familiar food like ramen and sushi, but the real unique stuff are the dumplingsand bao! It's all great. Pictured: spicy cucumber, rice bowl, soup dumpling, black garlic ramen. Delicious! We ordered pork buns, steamed bao, and orange chicken. Everything tasted fresh and was so good. Portions were pretty... big in my opinion. We've had these dishes in Chinatown in Chicago and New York City and these are as good if not better. Read more
Our experience here was. . . Eh. The food was okay. The service needs some improving. Overall atmosphere was busy. We arrived... at the peak of dinnertime. All tables were full and there was a wait. We were seated within a minute (lucky us). Theestablishment stayed busy until we left. Our server was almost non existent throughout our meal but gave service to two othertables around us. We ordered the chicken pad thai and 3 orders of the chicken with yakisoba noodles. We also had a small orderof sushi (which was a little over-priced in my opinon). The food was decent but we stayed thirsty almost our whole visit. Whenit was time to leave our server was no where to be found. We waited 20 minutes then decided to walk up to the front to pay. My husband and I went for the first time Friday, November 11th. Our server was really courteous and the food was delicious!... Their menu has a little bit of everything you could want. We ordered the Red dragon roll, Roasted Noodle soup & Roasted Pork ribsoup. All were very good! They serve roasted peanuts as a snack when your drinks are served. Nice touch! I especially love theartistic detail of the sushi plates with art and another table had a beautiful sushi roll that had lovely flowers as an accent.Very nice touches! I looked at most others dishes and they looked really good too! We can't wait to try something different nexttime! We went at 5:45 and barely missed a wait.
