The guy at that cash register is super friendly and has a knowledge of everything in the cafe. Cafe is cozy and I like the... music! My pictures don?t do it justice. Showed up around 1PM and no hot coffee was available. Had to wait around and they didn't know how to get their coffee machine... started so I suggested I'll just take a cold brew. Cold brew was probably one of the worst cold brews I've had. Sausage egg andcheese breakfast sandwich had good flavor but the bun was a borderline stale brioche. I'm pretty sure the sausage was just porkroll, too. Cool aesthetic of the shop but felt like ordering was a chore for the worker and would not return. Read more
went in for an avocado toast that took 20 min to make and got avocado spread on a floppy piece of bread. my friends food was... cold and tasted like freezer burn. would leave zero stars if it was an option. definitely not a fan. Read more
Stopped in for the first time this weekend and can't wait to go back. Got a chance to briefly chat with the owner and he... couldn't have been more friendly. Their nitrobrew coffee is unbelievable, not to mention they offer something like 7 differentflavors, I can't wait to try them all. Glad to have found a new spot and will definitely be spreading the word aboutRetrofuture. Keep up the good work! Read more
After trying out all the cafes and hangout spots on the main drag, I?m so glad I finally gave this place a shot!!! It looks a... bit unassuming from the outside just like the old place that was here, but once you step inside, the environment is top-notchand great for hanging out. Lots of fun decor, nice lighting, and a cool neon sign adorn the space. Two generous stacks of boardgames are available for guests to enjoy. For the smaller space, there?s ample seating including some comfy booth seats and someoutdoor seating for good weather, too. Everything about this place is set up so you can come and stay awhile! It?s also theonly late-night spot that?s more low-key and family friendly. That?s definitely something Ambler lacks save for this great spot!It seems to be family-owned and operated too, which made it that much more welcoming and warm. The owner greeted us when wewalked in and chatted as he prepared our food and drinks. I wasn?t in the mood for a late night coffee, so finding that theyhave milkshakes was a nice surprise! They also have all day breakfast, which no other cafe in town seems to (their kitchensalways close earlier in the day!). We enjoyed a delicious homemade chocolate chip muffin that the owner?s wife baked and we?llbe back for a breakfast sandwich next time we?re hanging around town. Great job to the owners of Retrofuture for bringing sucha fun, unique and high quality place to Ambler! Great hours for a cafe with tasty food. Perfect variety on the menu. The staff is very friendly and the cafe is owned by a... beautiful family. Everything comes in a hard plastic to go box even if the customer wants to dine in, which is great becauseit's free tupperware to reuse. There is indoor and outdoor seating, cool retro decorations for Instagram posts and music playingoutside too. Anyway, check out these pretty ice cream sundae boats! My friend and I both ordered the same thing but each of ourswas a little different and unique which I liked so we scored on that! Support black owned businesses! Read more
i go here almost everyday before work and i am never disappointed!! the baked goods are coffee are amazing. 10/10 do reccomend
