My fiancé and I are trying new, local, non-franchise places to eat. Last night she picked this place.... and hit a home run,... first off our waitress was awesome (the name on the receipt was Camille) very professional and informative since we let her knowit was our first time there. After beverage selection, I decided on a burger while my fiancé went with the chicken sandwichboth were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and we ordered the pickle chips as a late add on appetizer. Since it was busy wewere informed our pickle chips would be out with our meals( our fault for ordering late). The problem with that is, if youcould call it one was the pickle chips were probably one of the best I have ever eaten. They were incredibly thin and each onewas the same size and were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I knew from the first bite they were made in house which was confirmedby our waitress. I decided then and there that my fries ( which were good in their own right) stood second fiddle to theappetizer. Also added the gravy for my fries which was another tasty option. We popped in for a bite to eat in this small town not expecting much, but instead we were totally blown away by this place! The... food, staff, and atmosphere were all excellent, ESPECIALLY the food. First time visit!! Beautiful bar up front and lovely tables in the back- Kelly was exactly what a good server should be~and the... FOOD!! We loved everything. The scotch eggs were worth the visit all by themselves but both the ?Hippie? and French Dip were SOgood! Made with house-made prime rib, really a great sandwich! We?ll definitely be back! Read more
