I ordered the chicken and waffles, the waffles came to me underdone and the chicken was over cooked (see photo). When I told the... waitress about it, she made excuses for the resulting food. Saying that the chicken has a timer and always looks like that andthat the waffle batter caused the waffles to look like this. So I decided to order something different. My husband and I made a late night dinner stop to the IHOP in American Fork. Our server was Robert and he was outstanding!!... Seriously the best IHOP experience I've ever had! Robert was literally working his butt off while the other employees did thebear minimum. There was one employee inparticular that was REALLY rubbing me the wrong way! He was constantly on his phone andhiding in the kitchen. I would see him poke his head out, stand and obverse every once in a while and it was seriously botheringme. At one point we even heard Robert ASK this particular employee for some help with drink orders and that request was met withdirty looks, folded arms, and no action. I finally spoke up and told the lazy (young) employee (who had dark long curly hair)to help out and get Robert what he kindly asked for. I was met with a dirty look from this employee including mocking hands.Here's a small yet prime example regarding work ethic between generations. We felt strongly that Robert deserved a verygenerous tip. If you ever go to IHOP in American Fork ask for Robert...... well you probably won't need to ask, because heseated, took orders, served, and refilled as needed. He literally worked the entire joint. I know they were under staffed, but it took an hour for our food to come. We were willing to wait, but no one checked on us.... After 45 minutes we flagged someone down and asked how long it more it would be and they said oh your foood is coming right upand it was another 15 minutes. My friends and I always come here after going to evermore. They?re always slam packed no matter what time it is. you can tell... the workers are working hard to make sure that everyone?s experience is good. Tonight in particular the manager of the store wasrunning around trying to make sure that everyone was comfortable and OK. It was easy to tell that tonight wasn?t their nightwith things going wrong. But their manager kept a smile on his face and kept on trying to talk to the customers and make surethat everyone was satisfied. It seems like people were coming in at 12 o?clock at night to have a family gathering so theyweren?t little groups that they were dealing with. All in all the handled it really well. Read more
It amazing how much things have changed since Covid! But I really enjoyed IHOP, there used to be such a line on Sundays but no... line. I'm from a small town that we have a couple fast food. The people working were awesome, friendly, and nice. Read more
So they took off my favorite omelet the county ham, cheese, hash bown with sour cream, and my extras salsa and basko. The... waitress was very nice and I can have them make it for you. Man it was good! Cooked just right with the hash browns littlecrunchy just enough of the three cheese to hold it together. Could use a little more ham but it made me very satisfied. BecauseI don't eat pancakes I had sourdough toast which most places I go to order sourdough don't have any taste to them and thiswasn't bad with a slight taste of sourdough. Surprisingly for me, (I don't usually like breakfast food) the food was delicious. I got the crepe combo I think. The Swedish... crepes were delicious. ???? My eggs and bacon were cooked exactly as I ordered. Great job whoever was cooking! Bonus points!Our server, (Anna maybe? Sorry I can't remember) was attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed my visit!
