This place is definitely worth more than the 5 stars I'm giving them! Great atmosphere with amazing food! We came with a party... of 4 on Saturday evening and had a short wait of maybe 20 min. While we waited we had amazing drinks at the bar and is hardlyseemed like we had to wait at all. Definitely will be coming back everytime I'm in the area Read more

Fantastic find! Great local and inventive ingredients. The tri-tip was melt in your mouth with the BEST flavor. Service was... incredibly fast even though they were very busy on a Thursday evening. So glad we found them!!! Read more

After looking at menus from various local restaurants, our 17 year old daughter chose Aunt Maude?s for her birthday dinner. What... a great choice for our family! We also have younger children and I truly appreciate the kids? menu offerings. The birthday girlhad a wonderful crispy chicken sandwich and loved the fries. Our other family members enjoyed the hamburger, two differentsalads, and the French dip. All were delicious. For the price of the kids? entrees, they got lots of food including fresh, flavorful fruit. I can?t remember the last time my 9yr old ate everything at a restaurant. Very enjoyable experience foreveryone at the table from age 9 to 81. Can?t wait to come back. Read more

Great dining experience. Friday night, was busy but didn't feel chaotic. I ordered the steak salad and it was unique and fun.... The steak was cooked perfectly. The salad came with fried potatoes, cold marinated mushrooms, onion rings and pickledvegetables. Save room for a piece of the peanut butter pie. I was already full but really wanted to try it. It was sort of light(not super dense) feeling and we ate the whole thing in a few minutes. I will order that dessert every time. Service was alsoreally good. Read more

Came here for a work lunch and the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff members were very courteous. I... had the Teriyaki Salmon and Creme Brulee and they were both very good. Highly recommend for a fancy dinner night if you are inthe area! Read more

I wish I could tag Aunt Maudes with 6 stars. In all my travels there have only been two places I wanted to lift up beyond 5... stars; Amrit Indian in Ocala FL and Aunt Maudes. Of course, this is based only on two dishes, service and atmosphere, but Iwould be shocked if all their offerings were not up to the Slow roasted tri tips and the ahi tuna appetizer. I sat outside on aperfect night, surrounded by beautiful plants and happy passerby?s. Inside the atmosphere was dark and cozy. The ahi tunaappetizer melted in my mouth and was served with a sweet and salty Asian inspired sauce and a small mound of pasta. The pasta,to my surprised, paired with the tuna perfectly. Starting your meal off with this treat will set the tone for even more goodthings to come. The tri tips, slow roasted were perfectly cooked to medium and sprinkled with a warm garlic butter that did notoverwhelm. Tender and tasty, my guest and I both loved the dish. Even the sides were something to appreciate. The rustic mashedpotatoes were smooth and tasty and contrasted greatly with the roasted mixed veggies of sweet potatoes, broccolini andgreens. A perfect meal and portions to satisfy a cowboy. Try Aunt Maudes in Ames. It?s worth all you will spend. Enjoy. Read more
