We've been coming to Perkins consistently after our improv shows and they've always been quick to get us a table even when we... have 10+ people. Josh has been out server almost every time and has had excellent service! Thanks Perkins team, we miss Jamie. Read more
The food was breakfast we had was fine, but probably the worst service I've ever had. When we entered, the "seat yourself"... sign was up so we seated ourselves. Our waitress walked by our table multiple times and didn't acknowledge that we wereseated in her section. Eventually, a member of our party had to go to the checkout station to get menus since our waitresswasn't interested in our table. As soon as the menus were passed around the waitress showed up and asked us if we were readyto order and seemed upset that we needed more than one minute to look at the menus. When we were finished with our meals,the waitress again seemed to disappear. Our party needed to attend a meeting, so we made our way to the register to see if wecould get our tickets and pay. The staff working at the register was accommodating and went to find our tickets. Just then,the waitress appeared and told us that next time we needed to wait to be seated. When we explained that the sign said "seatyourself" she proceeded to tell us that we were being rude to the other guests that were waiting (there weren't any, apparentlyeveryone else in Ames avoids this place).
