I was astonished to find a $10.99 dinner menu for weekdays before 6pm. I got a sirloin with two amazing sides and they still let... me add sautéed onions & mushrooms. The best part was that the steak was a high quality and fresh tasting not frozen and cookedfast like alot of chain specials. Yeah the money I saved on dinner went toward a large, refreshing Margarita with Pink salt forBreast Cancer ???? Month. Oh wow I'm going to have to start eating dinner before 6 and not through a drive through for much morehealthy relaxing and better tasting options! Nathan was a very nice, sincere, helpful and accommodating waiter. The atmospherewas fun with a birthday celebration beside the table with a little girl on a saddle. Food is always good, service is hit or miss. Went with my husband tonight and ordered right away. After getting our appetizer... and drinks we weren’t checked on for a while, then got our salads with our meal and again went unnoticed for 20 minutes. Norefills until we finally got our entrees 30 minutes later after finishing our appetizer and salads. I enjoy Texas Roadhouse butwill probably get to-go only from now because of the service/waiting. Great ambiance, awesome staffs! The bread they give for free when u arrive is freshly baked and heavenly. The chicken steak and... chillis were great, only the chicken was a little dry. The chillis reminded me of ghugni, a type of Indian food that is cookedwith chick peas instead of beans. Sat there for hours cos the place was friendly! If i could I would give this place no stars. I would strongly not recommend this place because of them never cooking my steak... right! Not only that but they forget to bring out items that you order and you have to ask for the stuff you ordered after u buyit. Also make sure to check your salt and pepper shakers because there was mold in ours. DO NOT COME HERE!! We went here for my daughter's birthday. She hates the whole birthday singing affair so we opted not to make the staff suffer... this time. When you do, as we have in the past they toss your birthday victim up on a saddle with a cowboy hat and sing a sillysong. The victim also get a free dessert to help with the effects of the embarrassment. On this visit the food was as good asusual with the exception of the salad. It looked like it was prepared the day before and was sitting in the fridge wrapped upuntil needed. The lettuce was limp and the tomatoes were diced and mushy. I understand food prep from experience and the factthat these are strained times on produce but, a fresh salad always beat a day old one. Other than that everyone was happy withthe food. I ordered the sirloin steak with the added sautéed mushrooms and onions. It was cooked exactly as asked and was verydelicious. The mushrooms and onions was maybe 30 seconds more cooked than needed but it's a busy restaurant not a home kitchenso I can't complain. They were still very good. Our awesome server Alaina was very attentive to our table even though it wasbusy. We never had an empty cup and she brought the bread quickly when asked. She was 5 stars all the way. Be sure to eithercall ahead or use the site to get on the wait list. We headed there and did not because the site said there was a 10 minute waitand figured there was no need. On arrival we had to get on the list then wait in our vehicle. No a huge deal since the wait wasshort. The signup is actually very convenient on the weekends with long wait times. In the past we have signed up and done a fewthings before going for our scheduled time that resulted in no wait time. The only negative, other than the salad, would be thevolume of the music. The food was great and affordable. The server was very kind and professonal. There is no reason why I don't recommend this place... for your dining. But this place is always popular and crowded so that you need to use the website for placing you in a waitlist.It can reduce the waiting time for this amaging place. Read more

I had one of the best tasting chicken dishes I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Herb Crusted... Chicken. It was a good sized portion, not generous but the flavor made up for it! My son got an 11 oz steak and really enjoyedhis meal too. Our server was not stellar but pretty average, but the food is what we went for and a fantastic meal is what wegot! We went around 2 pm on a Sunday and it was much busier than we thought it would be but it didn't take us long to get in. We will definitely return on future trips to Ames. Read more
