As at least one previous reviewer has said, the entrees were very bland. The patties of both burgers our party ordered seemed... completely unseasoned - not even salted - and my stuffed jalapeño burger did not taste like jalapeño at all. The sides (we gotcheese curds and sweet potato fries) were great. Probably wouldn't come back unless they start seasoning their meat. I loved the food! Amazing cheese nuggets and i had the burger with the egg. It was delicious! I enjoyed the drinks as well. ... It was nice to experience the rooftop and i loved that it was shaded. I like being outdoors to eat without being so exposed tothe summer sun. Read more
Food was delicious! My servers name was Hallie I believe, and she was just the best! I had the creole chicken breast sandwich;... per her recommendation, with their crispy salty fries. Will definitely be coming back for not only the food but the greatservice as well! Read more
I wasn't crazy about wallaby's. I imagined a sports bar where you and your friends can cheer on ISU when they are playing.... Instead it's an upscale restaurant. Sure they do have sports memorabilia on the wall but the food and the atmosphere is a semifine dining experience. I wouldn't come here to watch ISU play but it would be a great place to take someone on a date. Read more
The appetizers were awesome but the main course was not that good. Particularly speaking from an Asian/Middle Eastern food taste... point of view, the food was quite bland. The fried fish had no seasoning in it and even it's batter was tasteless, althoughcrispy. Same is the case with the sandwich. Nonetheless the appetizers were delicious. Read more
Love, love, love this icon of Ames restaurants. Always great service, neat atmosphere (you should check out the roof top!) and... proud supporters of ISU. The grilled cheese & side salad are my lunch favorite but the Deburgo Burger with cheese fries (to diefor!) are my evening recommendation! Read more
Food was good! Service was a little awkward because the hostess was helping instead of our server but we still enjoyed ourselves... a lot. I was looking for a burger place during a recent visit to Ames. My host suggested Wallaby?s and it did not disappoint! The... atmosphere was sort of an upscale sports bar with lots of Iowa State and other sports memorabilia on the walls. Lots of TVs withtons of options to watch. The burger was very good. I will definitely plan to visit this place again next time I make it toAmes. Read more
