Servings were huge, hamburg special was delicious. Great pork and beans with real strips of pork in it... didnt know folks still... did that. Dont judge it for its ambiance but be prepared with an appetite. Improvements-Bathroom could be a bit tidier. Read more
We've been in Nova Scotia for four days and this was the best meal that we have had yet. Should be five stars but the corn bread... was fried too hard; though I'd order it again guessing that this was a misfire. Loads of value for the portion size. It was busybut should be busier. Just stopped in here for the first time. I had chicken and ribs and the wife had pulled pork sandwich. Absolutely delicious and... the guys are super friendly! Everyone in here is recommending the brisket so next time we shall try the brisket. Keep up thegood work, see you again! Update before this review is done, sampled the brisket. Stopped in here for lunch on the way from Halifax to Charlottetown. Great little local BBQ restaurant. The lunch combos are... excellent, any sandwich or burger with a side and drink for $12 between 11am and 2pm any day of the week. Smells so deliciousinside. No outdoor seating, but they have indoor picnic tables. Very nice ambiance, clean tables. Staff was extremely friendlyand attentive. Clean bathrooms. Read more

My friends and I stopped here on our trip from NS to PEI as it was highly recommended by our friend who had worked in Amherst.... We were blown away. Prices are great and portions are generous. I ordered the Ultimate Poutine with beef brisket and it was oneof the best poutines I have ever eaten! The beef brisket is made fresh every day and you can tell. It was phenomenal. My friendgot the brisket sandwich and was very impressed and my other friend had the fried chicken sandwich which she said was juicy,crispy and the perfect amount of breading. The guy who served us was funny and friendly and provided excellent customer service.Highly recommend this place. Read more
