Our group has been coming here for many years for very good barbecue. The quality and portions were always spot on. The prices... have gone up like everything else, however, the portions including a full slab of ribs are about 40% smaller. They are stillgood, but I would have expected to get the same size of slabs they used to serve and were famous for, disappointing! We won?t bemaking the drive to Amherst as frequently as we have in the past. They really need to assess these shortfalls or I?m afraid theywill loose many other long time patrons. Service is still on point. Very friendly and personable staff. We have developed agreat report with them over the years. On another note the last 2 visits the entire restaurant including the restrooms had verysticky floors. This gives patrons a reason to question the overall housekeeping! Read more
30$ for a brisket flatbread and pork belly loaded ?potato skins? what a friggin joke. Basically French fries served with sour... cream and nacho cheese and a tiny bit of pulled pork? It?s a shame I live real close to here and will never ever give them anyof my money again. Read more
My husband and I have been coming here for a while now and have always had good food. We walked in tonight and saw they had a... new menu we took a look and saw they had rid themselves of most everything when we asked our server she said that food cost arehigh and they had to revamp their menu. My husband always get the same thing and just ordered a burger and fries like alwayseven though they had jumped the price up 5 dollars. When he got the burgers the patty was paper thin and could not believe theywere asking 14 dollars for it. My husband asked for the manager who happened to be our server and quietly and politely said hewas not going to eat it or pay for it. He was not trying to make a scene and just said he is not sure how they would expectanyone to pay for that. She got very defensive and told him well if you would have read the menu you would see it said it was asmash burger. She started to make herself louder to make it look like we were creating a scene My husband said he was not tryingto be rude but she made sure she said loudly that yes he was and that our entire bill was taken care of and we can leave. Myhusband and I were stunned at the way she was behaving and we will walked right out and of course we will never step foot inthere again. But at this rate with the small and overpriced menu they won't be open much longer. Read more
Been going here for years always good, sometimes better than others but good. Went tonight as we walked in saw a sign "new... menu" When we got seated and got menu's pretty much everything they used to have was GONE. The new stuff was CRAZY overpriced.$15 for fried chicken which is 3 chicken strips and a thigh WTH? My wife went with the brisket Mac and cheese, cost $14, it wasplain Mac and cheese with a couple small and I mean small pieces of meat laying on top. I had a half slab. Not nearly as good asit used to be $22 plus I had to pay $4.50 each for sides (used to include 2 sides). My sister got a Flatbread, well she ordereda Flatbread what she got was a 7 inch frozen pizza. Now I understand how costs have gone ridiculous and everything cost way morethan it should but for a restaurant if you revamp your menu and adjust prices you better put something good on the plate oryou'll be out of business. Unfortunately Moosehead blew it big time and it saddens me, it was someplace we could always go. Nomore, we've made our last visit and I predict a permanently close sign will be in the window before long. Read more
Little underwhelmed. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and received a piece of chicken on the bread. No sauce or pickles or... coleslaw so it was a waste of 16$ . I ordered delivery because I wasn't feeling well so I unfortunately had to just deal withit. This place needs a lot of improving. Upon walking in every inch of the floor was extremely sticky from the obvious use of dirty... mop water (luckily it wasn't smelly). Decided to sit at the bar where we were serviced by a nice and welcoming woman but againfound ourselves with a sticky counter top. So sticky the menus and napkins got stuck to the counter. The food here is great. We were disappointed to see the poutine was off the menu; we have gotten poutine in Western Canada and... Alaska and the poutine here was the best we've ever had. I see a lot of people saying it's too expensive but I'm curious as towhere you shop that things have skyrocketed in price, this should be no surprise. I will continue coming here. We were verydisappointed to see the Avon Lake location is permanently closed. Read more
