My husband and I have always made it a point to go here every time we visit family to have the prime rib. First the sign said... wait to be seated.. we gave up and picked a table ( 5 people) we all placed drink orders and then our meal order. Realizing Ihave an accent I point directly to what I want and speak at the same time . We waited for over 30 min for beer refills. ( therewas only 1 other small table in the entire place and a couple at the bar) Finally our meals started to come out, mine and myhusband's was wrong so waitress took the food back.. wait wait... brought our cold french fries back out and another meal toour guest. After another wait our parents meal arrives ( they both got county fried steak) and it looked burned and lumpy gravy.Mother said it was terrible ( remind you she NEVER complains). Finaly husband and I recieve our prime rib, cold and tuff. Nofries, the AuJus was brown water and browned sugar brussel sprouts ( we did not order) soaked out garlic bread. Verydisappointed. And the bill was $150. Salad bar was ok. Read more

Great changes and update to business. Very friendly staff. Good variety of offerings on menu and prices reasonable for location.

We always stayed down the road but this time the place is getting shabby. We noted the Lake House, formerly Brown Derby had sold... so we asked to see their rooms. Huge upgrade from down the road and we moved immediately. The bar and restaurant is very goodand the weekend dinner menu features great prime rib. Read more

Bugs in the room, blood stained pillow cases, hairs in the bed, no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion. No TV. Disgusting buckets... FULL of stinky cigarette butts on BOTH sides adjacent to the front door, and the restaurant doesn't even serve breakfast. Noteven if I wanted to pay for it! I wouldn't be leaving this review or complaining about anything if the cost matched theenvironment but it definitely did not. Still charged $150 for a night in this place. $85 - $100 would've been more like it.Only gave 2 stars because the lady that booked us in was accommodating and seemed pretty cool. Read more

Has a full service attached bar so you can order a dinner drink, wine or beer. It is also asmall motel if a room is needed. I always have the steak with fries. Both prepared as I ask! Enjoyed some cold Coors Light draft beers accompanied by some appetizers with two friends after skiing at nearby Discovery... Basin. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the appetizers were perfectly executed- cheese curds perfectly deep fried with hotcenters, an excellent shrimp cocktail, and lemon pepper hot wings that were done brilliantly. This place was totally about thegive-a-damn as far as food quality was concerned. Will definitely return! Read more
