The beer is good, the food needs some help. Had the traditional burger, the patty was really thick, there wasn?t much flavor and... the toppings were really poorly distributed. Would drink here again, will likely eat elsewhere. Read more

After driving past it for many years, we just stopped into Bastion Brewing and had a fantastic meal. We had the Blue Cheese... Bacon Burger and a Cobb Salad. Both were excellent. The burger was a hand formed patty, loaded with toppings including grilledonions, on a nice brioche style bun. My only complaint is that I ordered my meat rare, and it was cooked medium rare - not thatbig of a deal. The chicken in the Cobb Salad was smoky and delicious, as was the thick cut bacon. The salad dressings (for myside salad too) were good, and served on the side, which I prefer. The greens for both salads were generously proportioned,fresh and crisp. Next time we are passing by I'll definitely try the smoked brisket sandwich, which I witnessed being made - Itlooks incredible. Read more

I have been here Pre-Covid and it was delicious the menu was fantastic, my first time back it?s August 18 2022. after being home... for the past 10 minutes my mind is still trying to figure out what the ?f*#% did I just tried to eat. I order the ?Southwestbowl? the rice was plain white rice no flavor, they have steamed vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, cornwith lightly BQ pull pork I think this dish was around $17. I couldn?t for the life of me figure out what they were actuallytrying to make, nothing about this dish says ?Southwest?. This dish lacked in every way possible. I actually decided it wasn?tworth the calories to eat it and that I would rather go home and fix me a tuna salad. However I did order the greens ????andagain they were amazing ????one part of my visit I really enjoyed, I was told they only sell ribs on Saturday so I guessBastion isn?t really the place for ribs & salmon like they use to be. The outside seating is nice and spread out which is realnice. No soda fountain, only bottled soda. it just doesn?t met the expectations they use to have. ???? Read more

I went to specifically to try the poutine and it was pretty good the fries were crispy I felt like it was a good amount of... brisket as well that had a nice smoked flavor . However it all seemed a bit cold . I wish the gravy had been a lil lessgelatinous and the curdes were just ok . Good curdes squeak when you eat them lol ! Over all was good though . I'll go back toother dishes. The server was super nice and made my first experience very pleasant. Thank you. Read more

Good beer! Good brisket! Went back to dine in. Liked the food! Pulled pork and brisket are good.. So is the brownie. Good... outside seating. Saw a mouse ???? tho strutting across the dining area. Drinking water was uncovered so lots of floaters. Also,a birds nest living on the bldg outside post. Gotta get rid of it. Overall, a must try. The beer is worth it ???? Read more

Overall, great food and beer! Both times we have come, the chef has been here and is super accommodating to dietary... restrictions. Food is pretty good, but relies on salt and smoke for flavor. Beers are high in alcohol and mellow tasting. Wewill continue to come back for sure. Read more

The staff was very friendly and patient... I enjoyed all the food but it was all 4 star. I had mash potato with brown gravy,... collard greens, half rack of smoked ribs (came with two sauces), and I got a lb of smoked wings. The ribs and wings were alittle dry/over cooked but still pretty good. The blue cheese was the consistency of kefiir (pretty runny w no blue cheesechunks) otherwise all in all still an enjoyable visit. Im guessing they are smoked and left on heat until purchased but just aguess. There's probably a timing sweet spot for 5 star smoked meats. Read more
