Friendly, effecient service by all staff at Longo's Ancaster. Rotisserie Chicken appears to be a family staple at this... location. If you arrive just after 4pm it's sometimes not possible to purchase this item. When I've asked if they will becooking more, they've indicated they're sold out for the day. Perhaps review the trend with families working, childrenattending sports and prepare extra for the later day part. Great selection of other easy meal prep for busy families.???????? Read more

It was my first time shopping at Longo?s. I have polar opposite feelings about the experience. Sadly, the negative won over the... positive feelings. The floral department staff were just lovely to talk with. They were knowledgeable and eager to help. Though the store?s selection of plants is minimal, the plants looked healthy and were reasonably priced. I ended up purchasingtwo variations of potted plants as gifts in the end. Unfortunately, that meant going back to stand and wait in cash registerline (yet again) because there is no cash register in that department. Overall the store was clean, well stocked and laid out. The produce looked fresh but sadly that was deceiving; the centres of oranges, strawberries, watermelon, and head of lettucewere all rotten. The asparagus lasted less than two days; all this produce went to the compost bin at time of cutting. Acomplete waste! The meat department was well stocked and deli staff again eager to help with great customer service. Howeverthe ground beef I bought which looked fresh, was completely brown after only one night (13 hrs) stored in the fridge. I thoughtI?d be safe side and not use it in my lasagna but rather dispose of it. An expensive item to lose! Lastly, I was highlyshocked and disappointed by the cost of food at Longo?s. I was even utilizing their deals (buying in 2?s and 3?s quantities and items on sale). I signed up for their membership card at the cash register and utilized that savings program as well. Yet,upon further examination of prices off the receipt at home, I realized that Longo?s prices are quite often higher than all ofother groceries stores - even those food stores that comparably focus more on customer service than having the cheapestprices. With groceries at a premium cost (post pandemic) people have to be mindful of it more than ever. Always stop in here at least once a week. The store is always very clean and shelves are always constantly being restocked. Many... times some of the produce or food you are looking for you can find here even when other stores have run out. Staff are alwaysfriendly and will help you find what you need. The meat section often have specials on and always have lots. Bakery section hassome of the best ???? fancy cakes, buns and fresh baked bread. Wonderful selection of fruit and vegetables. Nice selection ofmade on the premises of pizza to pasta and rotisserie chicken. Nice section at the front where after a day of shopping andrunning you can relax and get a coffee ?? or some delicious baked goodies. Staff are all very friendly and professional. Longo's is a very clean and organized place that follows covid guidelines. I find the prices in general or a really good but... definitely in the meat section is where I saved my money and it's good quality Cuts usually. One of the best highest quality grocery store around, I typically shop on their flyer sales
