So disaapointed with the service. This is my familie's to go to Sushi restaurant but after tonight I don't think I will be back.... My husband and I hardly go out on a date and when we do it's special. We arrived, we got seated right away, that was good. Theplace is busy. I use to be a server so been there done that. We ordered 3 rolls, a burning heart and a soda.The server was notpleasant in a way that when she brings item on our table it feels like she is tossing them on the table. My husband and I willlook at each other. Edemami was old (my husband kept making wierd faces). The sushi rice was cold and the food was just notgood which by the way gave me stomach ache. Despite of all of that we try to have a good time. The check came. My husband pulledhis card and inserted it in the black binder for the lack of better terms. Still sitting having conversation, waiting for thecheck to sign. Another server came put her two hands on the table lean forward and said "we have big party at 7:45 i am sorry,"this was at 7:39. I was very confuse on whats going on. We weren't there an hour. I was willing to brush off everything and givethem a benefit of a doubt but not after that last comment. Still some of the best sushi you'll ever put in your face. Everything you could ask for as far as the quality and presentation.
I would give 5 stars but the rest of the table was scared to death of the waitress. I thought she was fabulous and the 3 full... grown men were scared to ask for extras or a box. ???????????? The food was great, the rolls are huge and fresh. I would highlyrecommend going if you are in town and are craving some sushi. By far the best place in anchorage. It?s the best sushi place that I?ve been to so far, and their Crunch roll and Ronnie roll is to die for. It?s amazing!
Would NOT recommend...mediocre food, rude service I've been coming here for over three years now. I usually bring visiting... friends and family here when craving some sushi. My wife and I came in kind of late (9:50pm, closing time: 11:00pm). The foodlast night was pretty rough. This is the second visit in a row where the food seemed a bit off. I actually did not finish myfood this time since I did not want to risk getting sick (I did not get sick). The service this time was pretty bad too. Ourwaitress was rude and threw menus at us without saying a word. I gave her the benefit of the doubt though and actually left hera tip despite the rude service. We all have off days you never know what someone else is going through. I'll happily spend my $$elsewhere from now on. Best of luck to Ronnie Sushi...they are going to need it. P.S. One positive from my visit to RonnieSushi last night was seeing Ron Jeremy's photo on the wall by the entry/exit...that made me laugh! Read more
Every time I come to town, I have to get Ronnie sushi. It?s amazing and always made the same. Service tonight was amazing.
Best Sashimi in Anchorage!! Ronnie himself took care of us and it was quite the experience. Sashimi, sushi, rolls, soup,... everything was delicious! The conversation was great and the apple saki was fantastic!! If I'm in Anchorage, this is the place Iwill visit for sushi. Read more
I am so bummed and sad. I love, Japan cultures food. I decided to dine at Ronnie?s on Jewel Lake Rd. l ordered the Led Zeppelin... Roll, the Last Samurai Roll and Hot Sake. Sadly, the fish was so fishy, salty and old, the rice was hard to boot. It was justunpleasant and alarming. I tried to like this dinner with each bite. After the third piece of each Roll, it was just not goodto eat and worried me that it may make me sick, sad to say this. When meals are not my taste, I still eat it because it?s freshand good and don?t want to waste food or money but this was inedible. The waitress was so nice and hardworking. I didn?t want tomention anything or give her a hard time. I still gave have her a 25% tip, it?s not her fault. When she asked me if I would likea to-go box, I had to recline, unfortunately. I thought she might understand that the dinner wasn?t okay, I only had eaten threepieces from each roll, most of the edema was still there too because it was super salty, the most salty I?ve ever had, hard forme to say bad about this Ronnie?s restaurant. I think she knew something wasn?t right, I feel bad. I don?t like to complain orgive anyone a hard time, again, she was such a nice woman and hardworking.
