Great food, love their southwest tacos. I like to get half chicken, half carne asada. Top notch! Staff is very friendly too.

Have eaten Serrano's many times over the years and plan to continue to do so. The food is excellent and this is coming from... someone who usually eats Mexican food in Arizona. Read more

It’s average Mexican food, the chips are like either too stale or too thick, but not great. Salsas we’re nice. Salmon al... pastor tacos were tasty but too oily, plus the tacos are kind of small. It’s okay for Alaska Mexican. Service is meh, friendlybut aloof. Read more

This place is down right amazing! The atmosphere it stunning with the decor and ambiance. It is huge with an inside and outside... area to accommodate large crowds. The food has plenty of flavor and the drinks have the right kick! Definitely give them a try. Read more

Amazing food! It's very authentic but this is the only Mexican restaurant I've been to in Alaska where the portions were so... small that you would've had to order two to fill up! I went there with my small son and my fiance and we had a very good time. The only thing that I was a little peeved about was we had to pay for chips and salsa which is weird and then we had to pay alot for a little. Usually Mexican restaurants give you large portions and these looked like child size meals. My 7 year old atethree meals. But food was amazing! Read more

Cool Decor, Good Music, Food Not So Good. The remodel is nice and trendy, mediocre food and service must needed... improvement. From the moment I walked in, it seemed like we where in for a good experience. Staff was attentive while we waitedfor the rest of our party, but server seemed either to shy or unhappy to be working on a Saturday night. This place has comealong ways since they first open at a small place on 36th. Cool decor, added bar and good music, But the food Quality andservice deteriorated by far. One thing I used to love about Serrano’s is the authentic flavors, salsa bar, and the amazingservice. Now it seems all the attention was placed on Decor and not much on food quality. A menu that seemed promising at theend was disappointing. We order the Choriqueso, had good flavor and guacamole and pico de gallo was fresh, but only 3 tortillasand no salsa. (I never seen a Mexican restaurant that charges for salsa that should be included with the tacos or food that’sserved with guacamole) We ordered a ceviche that literally was 95% onions, cucumber and jalapeños, and with a really badbitterness taste that seemed to come from the unpeeled cucumber, the only seafood was a few pieces of long strings offish. When server asked how everything was, I explained that that ceviche should not even been served, she did apologize butthat’s as far as it go, I don’t look for free meals, but I do have a problem paying for a high priced meal that it’s sobad that we only took a few bites. Tacos; one of the things that made Serrano’s different than other places at their smalllocation was the authentic meat flavors and the tortilla passed through the oil, giving the special taste. Now- taco served in asmall street taco tortilla that was not only dried but filled with cilantro and onions and very little meat definitely not worth$4.50 and to top it off not served with any salsa unless you pay for it. The only thing that was a Wow! Was the French friesserved with the Read more
