Service is amazing! The food is incredible!
This is the third time we have dined here and I have had a different main course each time. Every one has been outstanding!... Tonight I had the scallops and tiger prawns and my spouse had the schnitzel, both were the best we have ever had. I cannotpraise Chef Jen and his entire staff enough. We eat out a lot and this has become our favorite restaurant for sure. Read more
Food is Amazing so flavorful every dish was very good.
Oh my goodness. I love when the outside of an establishment is just 'blah', .. and then you go inside to see a trendy,... hustling, set up where the kitchen is smack dab in front making your mouth water at all the amazing dishes. The staff weresuper cool and patient with us,... we had missed our flight, and had to lug our carry on luggage with us, we showed up wayearlier than our reservation, and probably got in the way a few times.. of course the food was delicious. Another tired Anchorage restaurant. Oysters were big & meaty. But one had a piece of shell and one had large pieces of grit. ... Even if they had been cleaned properly, they were the worst tasting oysters I have ever had. Wedge salad was fine but let's bereal, a two-year-old could make one and it's hard to mess up. Bolognese is often a heavy gut busting dish so I was happy thatthis one was light. But it lacked any punch and the usual depth of flavor. Also the fresh pappardelle weren't separated fromone another so the texture turned gummy. Service was abominable. The server didn't know where the oysters were sourced so Istopped asking questions. We had to wait more than 10 minutes to place our order, it took more than 15 minutes for our saladsto arrive after the appetizer was done, we didn't get checked on during the appetizer or salad courses, we were literally takingour last bite of the main course when we were asked how we were doing, we had to wait more than 15 minutes to have our platescleared. The server spent lots of time at her other tables chatting with guests but completely ignored us all night, she didn'teven stop walking when she did talk to us. We come here for mother's day and my mother's birthday every year and she comes moreoften than that because it's her favourite restaurant. But tonight was so bad I know I will never step foot in there again andmy mother was also very disappointed. We were looking forward to dessert before the meal but decided just to get the hell out. Exquisite. Had an appetizer and 1 dessert item, both had incredible smell and flavor. Photos speak for themselves ! Sat at the... bar and noticed all the Servers had good attitudes towards one another even when one was starting to worry about an order. Thisis a fine dining experience with an open kitchen view to the right and a wine bar with additional seating to the left. Come herefor those classy one on one dates or just a good savory bite to eat after a long day. Read more
Relaxed atmosphere. I was hungry coming here but was not completely impressed with the food. I did enjoy the weathervane... scallops and the risotto cake was delicious but everything else seemed lacking in taste. Tuna tartare was overly light. Theduck was good but the portion was too small. Lamb fell of the bone but the sauce was a bit unimaginative. For a $130 dinner, Iwas expecting more flavor. Overall experience was satisfactory. Service was ok. Read more
I’ve been here before, and the food is always spot on and fantastic, which is why I’m giving this place a four star rating.... I decided to schedule a birthday dinner for my partner at 7:00pm ( party of 7) and we were seated quickly which was wonderful.When we first sat down our waiter had let us know he would be back to take our orders. For the first thirty minutes our waiterproceeded to walk up to our table just to tell us all of the menu items that the restaurant had run out of. I cannot tell youhow many times we were told that they were out of mahi mahi…which was totally fine. After 30 minutes we finally got our drinkorder taken care of, and after he took our drink order he asked if we were ready to order our meals. In the middle of making adecision on whether we were all ready, the waiter walked off without any communication. At 7:40 our waiter returned and finallytook our food order. I’m not sure if he was extremely busy, and I would normally take that into consideration anytime I walkinto a restaurant. Our food arrived at 8:30 and the meals were absolutely wonderful! I would say worth the wait. I could tellthe waiter was not in the mood, his tone and energy made me uncomfortable, it was just different from all of the otherexperiences I’ve had. My partner ( who I was celebrating) walked up to our waiter around 9 to ask for a dessert menu. We weregiven our checks at 9:30 and our waiter was only cashing them out one by one..he had made a comment about having to split ourchecks, and I could tell it was not the right thing to ask. Anyways…great food! I’ll recommend this place, but I wouldprobably just note that the service might be a hit or miss. Read more
