Stopped by for an early dinner while visiting Anchorage. There were plenty of tables, so was seated right away. Server... immediately came over with water and menus. He did a great job throughout the meal as was very polite, prompt, andhepful. While looking over the menu, started off with the Tempura Platter and Squid Salad. Both arrived within 10 minutes andwere very good. The tempura was fried perfectly with a nice crisp on the outside, but not overcooked on the inside. The squidsalad was pretty impressive too with nice chunks of squid with other veggies. For the meal, ordered a few of the sushicombinations. These were a little higher priced than most similar sushi restaurants, but was worth the price. All of them hadlarger than normal slices of sushi that were cut thick too. Great fresh seafood and service. We ordered oysters, spider rolls, salmon sashimi and combo sashimi. Everything was fresh.... Definitely will come back when we in town. Read more
Ordered their bento boxes, spider roll, udon, yakisoba, oysters, gyoza and comes with miso soup & salad. My teriyaki beef was... way too fatty and tough though. The rest of the food was good though and atmosphere is very nice. Read more
So. Good. Quite pricey, but that's what you expect with good sushi and Japanese food. We got the beef yakisoba, and 2 sushi... rolls. One had mango and the other had jalapeño, and they were both amazing. Our server was the nicest man ever too so that wasa bonus. Read more
Hidden gem among all the many Sushi places to eat, we found this. Nice low key quiet atmosphere. Wait staff is real nice. They... have a great menu to choose from, with take out options. Nice big place for family gathering or a quiet corner for a date. Greatquality food. Bathrooms are real clean and neat. They had a seating drink bar. My husband loved the giant candy dish it wasfunny. A place we will certainly enjoy again. Read more
This place wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t memorable either. When you first walk in, the ambiance and overall look of the... restaurant is nice, calm, and chic. However, that’s the extent of the good. All the dishes and cups that I received (besidesthe actual sushi plate) were cheap plastic, which isn’t a huge deal breaker for me, but it was a strong contrast to how therestaurant presents itself with the atmosphere. The salad that comes with the miso soup at the beginning of your dinner tastedlike plastic, and the salad dressing didn’t taste much better, either. I ordered the Heart Attack appetizer, and the firstpiece was good, not very flavourful or spicy (as I was expecting it to be), but still good, until I got to the last piece whichwas so spicy I had to drink a whole cup of water to try and be able to taste anything else. I wasn’t expecting it to beinconsistent in the flavour. I got the Tomorrow roll, but it was pretty bland, then extremely fishy in certain parts. I trieddipping it into the soy sauce they have there to see if that would help, but the soy sauce tasted old? Not quite right? Eitherway, it didn’t help the flavour of the sushi roll. Overall, this restaurant was giving me strong Ronnie’s-knock-off vibes,as well as them having a few of the rolls from Ronnie’s as well. In my opinion, Ronnie’s and Ronnie’s 2 are of much higherquality all around, more flavourful, and definitely worth the price compared to Sushi & Sushi. Read more
