One of the best under-the-radar sushi places in Anchorage. We sat at the bar and ordered ""Omakase" (chef's choice) and he made... us, freestyle sushi that wasn't even on the menu, one of the best treats we have ever had. I used to love coming to this place but now whenever I come here there always seems to be some sort of issue. The service isn?t... great and the food honestly is over priced for the portion size. We ordered an appetiser and got it after finishing our meal.One of the ladies that is a server is giving the whole restaurant a bad name, we seem to always have issues with her. Good Sushi, way better than Sushi Ya! I didn?t get any gyoza sauce with my gyoza or else is five 5 stars.
Service was nice and fast, and the fish was generous for the sushi dinner. Unfortunately the flavors for the roll didn?t quite... go together well, they blended too much to get any cohesive taste. I would say average sushi, nothing special. Read more
We ordered a Yellow Tail Sashimi ( Hamachi ) and got a different fish. I asked the waiters, who insisted that it was a Yellow... Tail. I asked to double-check with the Sushi chef - same answer. To be fair, I showed a picture of the fish to a professionalJapanese Sushi Chef, who confirmed that it was not a Yellow-Tail. The place and food are OK, but misleading customers is notright.
