My family and I went here last night. We were tired and hungry and just looking for a quick easy bite. This place didn't... disappoint at all. As a food reviewer, I don't think I have ever had a more satisfying meal this year at a restaurant. We werehelped immediately and with a smile. Our waitress ( Angel I think) was kind, consistent, and always had fresh drinks. The friedchicken was Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. All the sides were obviously home made and with care. The dessertswere also made with pride and it was obvious that these cooks and servers loved their place of business. Everything tasted like"Grandma's" home cooking and was the southern soul food I definitely was needing. On another note- I have no gallbladder andsometimes get sick if the food is overly processed or greasy. Not here!!! I was so happy to eat out, have a wonderful familymeal, and surprise - not have any tummy issues either!! Which says fresh ingredients!! Love this homemade Southern food. Meatloaf, green beans, Mac and cheese were very good. Just as good as mom?s! Cornbread muffins... are always moist, never dry. Yummy food, sit down and order atmosphere. Read more

My family went to eat here last night. We stood at the hostess station for approximately 7 minutes waiting for someone to come... and seat us. A large family stood behind us waiting as well. Finally a server approached and said "I don't know where she is,but I'll seat you". She lead us to a table and my husband grabbed a highchair for our 2 year old. Just as we were about to placeher in it, the hostess walked by, phone still in her hand with the screen open, and without even stopping to make eye contactwith us, jerked the highchair away from the table and slung it back against the wall. As she did this she said, "Nope, can't putthis here, go to the back of the room". She never even looked at us. She then walked away. We were literally speechless. Anearby server, eyes wide, said "There's a table back there", and pointed to the back of the room. My husband said "But we stillneed the highchair".. and she said "You can go ahead and get it again".. as we walked to the back of the room, I noticed otherpatrons looking at us, equally shocked. We sat down, still in disbelief of how we were just treated, and waited another 6 to 7minutes for someone to come get our order. My husband, getting angrier and angrier the whole time, decided he wanted to leave.As we stood to walk out, a server approached a nearby table and told us she was just about to come to us, but my husband toldher it was ok, we were leaving.. as we collected our daughter, we heard a male server behind us tell someone at the table "Idon't have time", and walked away. I have never in my life had an experience like this in a restaurant. I saw many unhappy facesas we made our way to the exit, including the large family that was behind us at the hostess stand.
