Visited a few weeks ago and honestly, the experience left to be desired. First of all, let me start by saying that the woman I... spoke with on the telephone was wonderful (owner’s wife). We should be so lucky as to always come across ‘nice’ customerservice people like her. She took the time to speak with me and advise regarding vegan options. Was kind enough to accommodatea reservation for 4 people a couple of hours before the actual reservation. Upon arrival, I saw that the restaurant was runningat full capacity. It was very loud (but to be expected). We were seated on the second floor. The carpeting on the stairs wasold, used and looked dirty (maybe because it was used??) I mean really . . . just change it! First impression was not great. Wewere seated without any delay so that was a plus. Sadly, the positive ended there. Once we ordered, it took one full hour toget served. I did enjoy my pasta dish but the veal dishes left to be desired. Firstly, the meat was hard and chewy andsecondly, the veal plates came with a side of pasta - the pasta was ice cold and not dressed at all. The one picture shown atleast has some sauce that could be mixed into the pasta if desired. The other veal dish (not shown, meat was with red sauce)had no extra sauce at all so pasta was left uneaten (cold and completely dry – as though drained and put on the plate!). Wealso requested pasta for our vegan daughter (not pictured). The waiter said ‘no problem’, we will hold the cheese. He wenton to proudly say that the pasta dishes were very good because they use a chicken soup base in the recipe. I countered ‘so itisn’t vegan’? He was confused - not a clue as to what vegan meant. Like coming here as i use to go to the one on St Denis for years but decided to come to this one parking here is not a problem .... . Food is always tasty and staff at this restaurant are amazing owner is a good man polite friendly and staff do there best. Only complain i would have is the Menu for lunch on Sunday it would be nice if they would have a couple of different choicesevery other week as we always see the same thing on the Menue except for the Chef choice which is a good thing . Maybe it should deserve 5 stars, but because of high prices, I take the liberty not to give the 5th star. Food was well cooked... and the flavors very well mixed, chef knows what he is doing. Watch out for parking, to small for a 2 floor resto, maybe need topark close by. Another think I remarked, 90% of clients were over 60-65 of age, it means that what I said about prices are true. Good bring your own wine restaurant. - The gourmet poutines are good. Tried tue one with filet mignon and it was worth it. -... Your usual pasta menu. The food is good but adding parmesan and salt helps as it kind of fade although it’s not unsavoury. -Ambiance is classic and relaxed. - Staff is nice and courteous but small negative point is that I’m not sure of they all knowhow to properly open a bottle of wine as mine was massacred. The worst experience ever. First of all when we get there they assigned us a place seats was super dirty they didn't clean up. I... pointed that fact they agreed to change seats. When we got to the other seats it didn't get better i had to clean it up myselfto be able to seat. And then the service was poorly manage waitress was no where to be found hardly reachable and food took solong to get to our table even asking for water took almost 30 mn then at the end which make it the worst experience ever i gavethe waitress a tip but she wasn't satisfied and confronted me in front of everyone about it.
