We went for a late lunch and was seated right away. The restaurant was clean and the hosting staff was friendly. Our server was... prompt, attentive and courteous and delivered food and drinks in great timing. The food was delicious, hot, and fresh whendelivered to our table. Read more

We ate at Chili's in Ankeny on Saturday, May 21st. Got there about 1pm as the noon rush was getting over, and were seated... immediately. Our waiter arrived promptly and took our drink order, and by time he returned, we had decided what we weregetting. We both ordered the "3 for Me" Chicken Fajitas, which came with an appetizer (we chose fried pickles.) The friedpickles were amazing, and when the main course arrived, I was expecting a scaled down version of the fajitas off the dinnermenu, but that wasn't the case. You can judge for yourself, this was a monster meal, complete with 4 flour tortilla shells. After having the fried pickles, and knowing that were were having a cookie with ice cream as dessert (sorry - I forgot to take apic of the cookie in it's own pan) we decided to take TWO of the tortilla shells home with enough fixings for lunch the nextday. This is an awesome deal, folks. OK, now for the (men's) restroom. If you follow me or read other reviews of mine, I tendto visit the restroom and make a comment, because I think these facilities are every bit important as the waiters and food. Well, like I said, the noon rush had just gotten over, and I found a number of paper towels on the floor, as well as waterslopped around the sinks. I'm not gonna "ding" Chili's for this although if their management reads this review, which I knowthey do sometimes, I hope they start periodic spot checks of the restrooms. 5 stars for Chili's in Ankeny. Due to staffing issues chilis can not accommodate over 6 people. We signed up for the rewards program so we can get free chips... and salsa every time we go. Food was great, and steak was cooked perfectly. Waitress was very nice, and took great care of us! Read more
Typical Chili's restaurant with American food mixed with various styles of popular items like pasta, ribs, fajitas, etc. I have... to ask, why, oh why did they get rid of the Awesome Blossom onion appetizer?? That was the best menu item they had! Pleasebring it back, as I was looking forward to ordering one. Guess I'll have to go to the competitor's restaurants that still offera similar appetizer.
