I eat with my eyes as an open invitation to dig in. The presentation was okay? could have been arranged neater ? but the flavors... once tasted?were better than the appeal that was placed in front of me. For a top notch place in ?The District? ? I wasexpecting to be blown away with an out of bound tummy reaction based on sight due to the marketing strategy on TV. Even thoughmy Turkey Cranberry Sandwich and Cheesy Tortilla Soup was good, it is not worth the twenty minute drive from West Des Moines.Yet, the Turtle Chocolate Cake ? was delicious and full of chocolate that soothed my palate? that boosted the rating as well astheir fresh sandwich croissants to the above average level. Super selection of healthy options - a line for the drive through and a good amount of people at tables inside indicated it was... a good spot before I even ordered. I was debating between two dishes and on the recommendation of the gentleman working, I wentwith the salmon wild rice bowl. Glad that I did, it was delicious! Plenty of gluten-free options including a delightfulchocolate mint cake, a large slice came home with me and was enjoyed over the next two days. Will definitely be back. Read more

Decent little sandwich shop! I ordered the açaí smoothie and the turkey bacon avocado melt with a cup of fruit as the side.... The smoothie wasn?t my favorite because it was gritty and not really a blended, milky smoothie but it may have been my faultbecause I chose chia seeds as the add in. It was good but probably not worth the 10$ it cost. The sandwich was SUPERB! 4 starshere instead of 5 because it?s a bit pricey to eat here and I also would have liked if my sandwich was pre-cut into halvesinstead of it coming whole. This place is amazing. I?ve been here a few times after moving from CO and it?s by far my favorite. Not only is the food... exceptional and straight up delicious but it?s quick and the service is a notch above. Family owned as I found out speaking withRyan the manager.
