Our Sioux City store closed years ago and I?ve missed their cookie cakes so much (nothing else compares), so since I would be in... the Des Moines area I figured I?d order a cake for my graduation to pick up. It looks and *smells* great! Just how I remember.My only qualm is, the design was supposed to say ?Class 2022? with a diploma below that. But instead whoever decorated it putthe diploma as one of the ?2?s? in 22. So it looks like ?Class of 2012? BUT it tastes good and that?s all that matters haha. Read more
The cookie smells good and looks good, the service was frustrating. Placed the order 3 weeks in advance and the day of pickup... our order wasnt even processesed. To anyone considering this for a party please be aware that our cake was 3 hours after thepickup time we set for our party. Read more

The Great American Cookie in Ankeny, Iowa did such a fantastic job with my request for an ?Aged to Perfection? 30th birthday... party that was Whiskey/Old Fashion theme. I spoke with Cassidy, one of the decorators, and explained what I had in mind and ageneral color scheme and told her that I trust their judgement. I?m so glad I did! Fast service. I was fortunate to get the last of the m & m's cookies. Filled out my order with the ever popular chocolate chip... cookies to get the freebie offer they had. Product was good and I had a pleasant experience. Would have given 5 stars if morem&m's cookies were available. Read more
The owner is probably the worst person I've ever come into contact with. Horribly rude to customers and her own employees to the... point where its definitely harassment. I would not spend another dollar here in my entire life time. She definitely does notappreciate or deserve business. Read more
Ordered a cookie for Chrsitmas online. Went to pick up on date it stated it was ready, which was the day before Christmas to... find it wasnt even made. Zero apology really. If only the customer service matched the cookies. We love the cookie cakes and ordered frequently for special occasions but too... many times our order has been lost or inaccurate so we no longer order here. Such a shame because we really do like the cookies!The last time was the last straw for me. I ordered a week in advance. My husband went to pick it up and not only was it not madebut they couldn?t even find my order. She offered to make it for free but I had already paid. So my husband had to go back 2hrs later and pick it up and we never received a refund as promised. It was terribly inconvenient to return and I?m upset thatwe didn?t receive a refund as promised. This same scenario (minus the offer of refund) has happened 2 other times and at least2 others I?ve been called to let me know it would be late because they didn?t notice I ordered sugar cookie instead of chocolatechip. I would have considered giving them one more chance if I?d have got the refund I was promised since we enjoy the cookiesso much but now I?m done and will have to find another place to order from.
